Plenty of white people understand rap, hip hop and R&B - just not you. Not everything has to be for you specifically

Kendrick is the biggest rapper out at the moment and SZA is extremely popular

If you want "white people music" watch the other halftime shows for other games where white rock and country acts perform

These last 5 or 6 halftime shows since Maroon 5 & Travis Scott, which was the worst since Black Eyed Peas in 2010 or 2011, have all been pretty good. The Weeknd was probably the worst of them and even his was not bad

I think Stapleton would best be used as someone's guest and he does Tennessee Whisky

You need a collection of undeniable hits to do the halftime show (even if they're throwbacks). Stapleton has a few hits but he doesn't have any genre-crossing songs that became huge anthems like recent halftime performers have.
 
People have to realize an important point. The performer doesn’t get paid. So they have to willing to do it for free and most likely can’t be on a current tour

Kendrick Lamar is arguably the most critically acclaimed rapper of all-time and just won his 22nd Grammy Award for what was probably the most acclaimed hit of 2024 lol

He has 5 albums - all are overwhelmingly acclaimed. He has 22 Grammys. He has a Pulitzer Prize for an album. He has massive hits. He is inarguably very talented, even if you don't like the rap genre. These are metrics and achievements that all music can be judged on

His music is not "trash" simply because it does not cater to you and your life experiences thus far

What makes Kendrick's music "ghetto?" Do you think all rap is "ghetto?"

Last year's performer was a black man and there was nothing "ghetto" about it. The year prior was a black woman - again, nothing "ghetto"

I have seen clips of that when it happened. Shapiro got trolled hard all over social media because he was mad at the performance of Unholy

I could not care less what an artists does as an aesthetic for their performance. One could make the argument that a gay man and a trans woman did that simply to troll the right wingers and if Shapiro's reaction is any indication of how successful they were with it, then they were very successful
