Great hire by the Irish. It will be interesting to see what he does with the QB position. What he did a CVCA with Beveington was incredible. Al I can tell you is that whoever plays QB for Dan will have to be a tough dude.

Lenz returning. He got injured in the Walsh game I think. Was replaced by a senior who then got injured. They finished out the season with a sophomore.

If I am not mistaken, that was a two year contract for a home and home in 2020 and 2021.

Whoever is the QB will need to be able to run with the football and be a tough dude. If you ever watched Dan play QB in high school or college or watched any CVCA football while he was there the QB's always played very physical.

Terry Cistone is building this program piece by piece to put this back on the solid foundation that coach Dan Boarman and legendary John Cistone created years ago winning 6 state titles between them. There is more in the works and opportunities for young men considering the Irish Tradition ! The addition of coach Dan Larhlam (Walsh Jesuit& CVCA) and strength & Training coach former NFL RB Delone Carter (Hoban & Copley) Is immense.

I hope to heck SVSM on the way to a return to the glory days of Irish football but given all of the unfulfilled promises of the last 5 or 6 years I am going to have to see it to believe it.

I also feel the same way yeah its good that things are looking up but I wanna see action Cause we are going to see who skipped a rep and who didn't by the way they perform on that football field. we cannot afford to be average this year we have too much potential.

I'll be honest the way coach Nickol left this program was kinda a mess just came off of a 4-7 season which is really bad for stvm also he failed to really promote the program like a lot of kids go to Hoban because of how heavily promoted they are. He just said we get who we get and I'll try to work with it and that's not fair to the program. here's an idea if their are any one who is a booster here we need to have a camp for middle schoolers invite teams to scrimmage their or play their and or camps which could be really beneficial. Tyrell does it with no problem. lets just see if Coach Cistone will do what his dad did when he was on his staff.

The Irish lost a number of players from this year’s 8th graders to Walsh and Hoban, including legacy kids. Cistone did what he could after last year’s dismal season, but the facilities at the other schools and the problems with the Admissions dept could’t be overcome.

ok well he (Cistone) has to build their trust again for the future. cause right now we need help on both sides of the ball at the wide receiver position, tight end, and secondary. we can beat Hoban. we just have to have a stout defense the key is to make that qb pass also have an efficient offense.

So the arms race for talent in Akron continues, Hoban had the weight room and just got new practice fields, Walsh just built a new weight room and coaches offices, and Lebron is building the I Promise apartment complex on south Maple. Going to be fun in Akron the next couple years.

Prayers needed for Greg Shook. He is one of the Irish’s biggest supporters. Greg had a stroke late yesterday afternoon and is in the hospital.

An Update: the 48 hours of violent tremors were ruled out as a stroke thank the lord and no permanent side effects. I thank everyone on here and their support it is very humbling. Hope to be back

Not true, played at Capital high 9th &10th grade. Has Hudl film playing for Capital as a 9th grader.Now Hoban has a new QB that's the rumor his name is
