Battle of Pickerington - OCC

Gahanna game won't have the hype like last years battle of the undefeated, but yeah it's a final gauge on what North is this year. Wasnt too impressed offensively in the grove city game, we scored at the end but throughout the whole game mistakes.

North's QB Mock got hit hard in the 4th quarter, hopefully he was just banged up, he didn't play the rest of the game.

Questioning him being in while up 34-7 in the 4th with like 9 minutes left, New Albany's triple option offense isn't made to come back from that.

I've been to 4 PN games and 5 PC games. Neither team's front sevens are strong enough to stop good teams. PC's linebackers are especially weak. Their DBs are very athletic, but don't really know 'how' to defend... These Tigers are the reverse of most PC teams of the past: The defense sucks and the offense has great weapons and creativity. PN is better, but they don't have any 'stud' defensive guys either. On the other hand, the Panthers seem to finally figured out how to use Bowman's extraordinary skills! I'd love to see a rematch.

While I don’t necessarily endorse the “defense sucks” comment, threw a ‘like’ on it because I think this aptly describes the two Pick’s vs the R3 field this year.

Well Pick North has not beat Gahanna in the regular season since 2020, is this the year?
-i think no, and I bet we will be blaming the coach

Pick Central has a cruise control game to end their season, so not much to say about them

Reynoldsburg this year is so… inconsistent? Unpredictable? Impressive? Puzzling?

Second different first-year coach at Burg in as many years, yet they are more competitive than last year?

Seems likes it been a while since there was a good Burg team, when Buddy White was the coach for many years, they had a few good seasons but i think it's been a revolving door since?

Buddy's a good coach.

Man, thinking back to 2019... that was Dijon Jennings' sophomore year. That Pick Central/Reynoldsburg rematch at the Ditch in the first round, it seemed like there were good things on the horizon for the Raiders.

The running sentiment for the longest time, and this played well into Ward's time until they finally got it together, was that Gahanna was who was underachieving. Doesn't seem to be the case anymore, but 'Burg? They're the new Gahanna it feels.

The only coach to blame would be the OC Pruiett. Dude goes back to grade school play book at the end of the year every single year. Tonight is a great example. He has to be the worst OC in Central Ohio

Well I guess I incorrectly assumed Hillerich was making the offensive calls.

Reminds me of the Hilliard Game at the end of the season last year and the Elder game, against a good defense they cant do anything

I’m not sure where PN goes from here. Considering their opponents record this year , 8-2 season can be looked at from both ways. Playoffs will be a final indicator which direction this program is headed.

If we had a 8 team playoff, round 1 would be North vs Central,
with the 16 team system we got now, round 2 will be a North vs Central rematch at Central, based on the non-final rankings on JoeEitel.

It's going to be ground hog day every season until they get rid of him!

Pruitt was hand picked by Hillerich. If the problem had been the same the entire time, and Hillerich hasn't done anything, that's a much his fault as it is the OC. He's notoriously bad. But gets a pass while his staff takes the hits..

Yeah not a cakewalk, but I was worried that Grove City was going to be the opponent, they seemed like a team we might not be able to beat twice, esp how North played this week.
Yeah. WN is a tough draw. Them and GP are teams that must prefer to avoid in the first round. WN had 4 losses to teams that are #1 or #2 in their respective regions. And the 4 losses are by a combined 14 points. Plus they'll have the coaching advantage... Could be a long night

In what way would WN have a coaching advantage?

Both of the two seasons that staff has been at North, they've had two losses each year in conference play to teams that aren't any more talented than WN. In a conference that, at best, is as good as the OCC-Buckeye (Central's side.)
