2024 Federal League

I know more about football than you’d think. I shouldn’t have said recruit; Glenoak welcomes transfers as they should. I’ve coached youth football in Akron with the West Griffins, CYO football in Greater Cleveland at GESU, and youth football in Cleveland with the Shaker Brawlers, the Maple Heights Saints, and Ginn Elite. I’m familiar with the guys that run the Stark Co. youth programs. My point above is it’s ridiculous to call a high school football program dirty as successful programs recruit themselves.
I'm not questioning your fine resume of youth football knowledge but I've been following Plain Local football for over 60 years and the most notable transfer we ever got was a McKinley Qb that was run out of town by McK fans and he actually lived in Plain. Sorry for making a bigger deal out of it but we have lost a lot of talent to transfer and gained next to none. By the way I say if you don't want to be here have a great life and goodbye.

That’s the right attitude to have, if you don’t like it here good riddance. That RB that transfered in from South is a nice player. Good luck this season.

Brionte Dunn has to be up there

They pushed out the coach who won them their first tournament game in 20 years for coach rohr… I don’t see his seat getting hot anytime soon.. even when they go winless.. which could be this year.
I'm not sure I see improvement out of the Polar Bears, but they're not going to be 5 wins worse than last year.

Except for Perry wrestling, and Hoover girls softball or basketball. They were all born there that's why those 2 are laughing. And I am the tooth fairy.
Hello Mr. Fairy, have you increased the payout due to inflation or still cheap?

Is there going to be a "surprise" team in the Federal League this year, who completely shatters all preseason expectations? And if so, who?

They lost they’re play makers from last year.

Their Swiss Army knife named Benson will be missed tremendously in every aspect of the football game.
That's why I don't see improvement, even with a very young team still getting a year older in a lot of spots. But they're not an 0-10 squad.

Can anyone tell me the truth behind Jackson getting a turf practice football field? Heard they got rid of their freshmen baseball field to do so?

Crazy that a bottom tier football program takes such a precedent over a top of the line baseball program..

I heard a new turf field for soccer, football and lacross. And a new turf soccer only field. Also heard they were relocating baseball diamond. I guess it was in bad shape

The last three years I've posted the scrimmage schedules for all Federal League teams by going through all of the schedules on ArbiterLive, but that website doesn't seem to have been updated for several months. If anyone has the scrimmage opponents and dates for one or more Federal League schools, please post them here.

I don't know if it got rid of any existing space, but they are putting in a turf practice field. If it relocated anything it'd probably be the freshman soccer field (but even then, I think they just compacted the area around the band practice field).

The McKinley-Cleveland Heights scrimmage might well be a preview of a second or third-round Region 1 playoff game. There's going to be plenty of D1 talent on the field that evening
I'd hope to see that talent be able to play in November and not do much in a scrimmage in August. Both teams will make playoffs regardless so hold the kids back a bit and don't risk any season-ending injury.

The schools aren't using ArbiterLive any more. The are using go.DragonFlyathletics.com.

Went over to Wakefield Stadium to watch the Panthers 7 on 7 with Sandy Valley. Thought the Panthers did a good job on both sides of the ball. QB Austin Mattox can fling the ball. Perry looks to have three nice receivers. Two of them over 6-4. Saw three TD’s of over 35 yards with the first unit. Likely to see some jump balls in the end zone with those two this year. As always, it will come down to line play. These passing scrimmages are fine for what they are, but the true tests come in the real scrimmages before the season.
