McKinley's 4 losses (Avon, Cass, Jax, Mass) were a combined 38-8 this season to date...
Mentor's 10 regular season opponents won a total of 41 games.

You can have your own conclusions and that's fine, but you can't argue facts.
Sounds a lot like the mediocre SEC schools who tout quality losses instead of who they beat and how good of a team they are ...

Can't go just by record either. Id put 1-9 St Ignatius at full strength against any of the teams you guys beat and feel good about it. Look at who they played. Can argue 8 of the teams they lost to can beat McKinley

Yes they have. Each 2 year series we alternated. That is what it would take to make it happen again.

In more current years, they've wanted us to go only there without a return. Same thing they did to Eds and Glenville among others. That isn't happening
So, you are saying that Massillon has traveled to Mentor on more than one occasion, not to mention has traveled to Louisville, Perry, Glenoak, McKinley, Austintown, Warren, Steubenville, Barberton and Mansfield all in the last 5-10 years and now is refusing to travel to Mentor to play AGAIN??

I never said they haven't traveled to Mentor. I've said this many of times on here on what happened

Massillon wouldn't continue playing the last time around after Mentor won both games convincingly. Since then , yes Massillon has gone to telling many teams they will only play them in Massillon. Eds and Glenville are examples. Although nobody will play Glenville at their place if you are in a suburb...

So if the series were ever to resume, it would have to be with even home games or it isn't happening

Yes I did hear Massillon made that demand a few years back. I haven't heard anything lately.

Mentor has a policy that they aren't playing anyone at their place only

Non-suburb teams will play Glenville at their place? Eh, we’d gladly go to Mentor and beat Mentor at Mentor. Kirk Cousins said it best…

Glenville isn't on my mind man. You are in D4 and not on my radar. Go talk to someone who cares about them. Again this isn't about you guys and Massillon. You just brought yourselves into it

I can’t tell. As long as the folks in Oxford, Columbus, Akron, Athens, etc are checking for us all is well. And being in D4 is really hindering our young men… Good day 🤡🤡🤡

They tried that same thing with Mentor and we said no. I know what I wrote
Bottom line is McKinley has a chance in this game on paper I feel like McKinley has more star power with more division 1 talent not saying that the Cardinals does not have division 1 talent because they do. I feel like McKinley has a chance in this game and could possibly win It if you want to think that they don't go right ahead and you'll be turning your pads in come Monday morning. Bottom line McKinley has played the better schedule I feel like they are more equipped to handling high pressure situations yes McKinley struggled with Jackson lost once and then won the second one but let's not act like a mentor was not in a dog fight with Jackson until they turned it up in the second half

I've said multiple times that I give McKinley a chance moron

And why would the team turn in their pads based on what I say anyways? I don't play for them. I'm not on the team. You need to realize that you are sitting your butt in the stands and have zero to do with the outcome

You so damn dumb you didn't understand why I said they will turn their pads in on Monday????? Because if they come in with some of the attitude that you guys are just playing like you guys want to just walk all over McKinley they will end up losing and they won't have a game come next week

I've said to multiple people predicting that in this thread that I don't see us rolling them. You are just too stupid to read

The team isn't going to take them lightly. Confident on that. If McKinley wins it will be because they earned it

Your butt will be in the stands, you’re not on the team, you wouldn’t know what taking them lightly is because it’s something that manifests itself through an entire week of film, practice and playing time.
Everything is earned. Including losses.

It won't be shocking the world if Mckinley wins. I'll tell you what, if they do or atleast are competitive, then the dogs can play with anybody in the state. Canton has the firepower to score on Mentor it will come down to whether they can stop their offense.

Same goes for you. ..

And you are too stupid to see that I've actually defended McKinley having a shot vs many in here already.

McKinley has earned many losses against us lately. This isn't 1998 anymore. For all the McKinley /fed bluster on Mentor this year not being as good as before...you guys arent the late 90s McKinley or anything either

From the braggadocios talk from you guys, I hope we can just make it a game !

Anybody have some actual football to discuss?

Mentor's offense is as balanced as it has been in five years. The ability to run with the very dependable Jackson Farley along with the passing attack led by QB Scotty Fox gives this offense a pretty high ceiling. Mentor hasn't had a running game this strong since 2018/2019 with All-Ohio back Brian Trobel. Mentor didn't come close to that ceiling on Friday against Strongsville. But the potential to score 35+ is absolutely there. Fox has limited mistakes this year and has some dependable and talented receivers. When Mentor's offense is clicking, I would bet it is one of the most potent in NEO.

Defensively, Mentor has had some issues. There are certainly reasons to believe McKinley can move the ball and score a few TD's against Mentor. There have been some head scratching weeks. But this past Friday was one of, if not their very best performance as a unit. I hope it can continue this week.

I haven't seen a single Mentor poster in this thread (there are just two of us so far) say that McKinley has no chance. Predicting a Mentor win is not the same thing as saying Mentor can't lose.

I see a 34-27ish game either way. What are the chances this turns into a 13-7 defensive slugfest? Both teams have given up points at a decent clip but both teams have talent up and down the roster and one or both defenses could rise to the occasion.

Same goes for you. ..

And you are too stupid to see…
Same would require me to make redundant and ridiculous statements and shoot insults at another person who offered only what the topic originally asked for, thoughts on the game.

There’s no same here. Only who you appear to be and somehow exist in the words that you offered.

Good luck to you.

I'm sorry I tried to talk football but if you guys didn't have a crybaby fan that takes everything personal the thread wouldn't have spiraled out of control... Now to the actual football talk I think it will be interesting to see how McKinley handles mentors offense McKinley definitely has some dudes that can make plays but with them it's about avoiding penalties stupid penalties at that. I think in order for McKinley to win they're going to have to create some turnovers by either given their offense short field position or at least scoring maybe two possible defensive touchdowns their offense can be very balanced but it also can be inconsistent it seems like they don't really have a scheme if that makes sense.

Anyone reading the thread can see how you start stuff. Ive had multiple people pm me about you and how youve done it to them too. So quit while you are behind. It's always you starting stuff because I'm in your head and you have an obsession .

You simply can't hit ignore and move on so I'm doing it for you . Don't ignore many people but I'm tired of your bs. Think you are joining like 3 other people who never add anything so congrats.

Again, I just hope we can make it a game. You and the other McKinley guys are making it sound like Mentor is nothing and McKinley is a juggernaut again. Sounds like we need the luck so I appreciate it !

I again have said multiple times that I expect a test. I've multiple times said to posters saying Mentor rolls that I don't expect that. But continue to ignore it I guess. My long-standing rule has been the final 16 and on , I always expect a test and good game.

Isn't it? Let me spell it out for you: where did Massillon and St. Ed play this year?
So you played them in Massillon from 2020-2023 and then played them finally at Lakewood. That's 4 in Massillon and 1 in Lakewood

Again , would have to be equal for us to play that. But playing 4 out of 5 at home isn't really helping a ton with your point..

Now if you rotated evenly on the other hand , then I'm sure it could happen again for our series

But once again, thread isn't about you or Glenville so time to move on after this post on it
