Massillon hasn't called us since we beat them back to back years and then they wouldn't keep it going. Sorry you can't handle facts. Same with Glenville and McKinley

Do all teams stop series with us? Heck no. But those 3 all did

Don't think it will be that bad , but I hope youre right. I feel confident in winning but I acknowledge McKinley as having an overall solid program over the years and not being some pushover

So why did y'all called now? Unlike you I'm actually man enough to admit that y'all was better than us at the time way better than us y'all could have put 100 points on us buuuut .... Where is the phone call at now???

Can you point me out facts showing there hasn't been one from our side?

I just know how it ended the last time. When a school stops wanting to schedule you, you often aren't really motivated to do business with them again right away .

We only have 2 weeks open in the first 3 weeks. We are in a league. So we can't schedule everyone every year. Solon left our league so we had to get an opponent for week 6 on a one year deal with Lorain coming in next season to the league. That can happen

A healthy Marquise Davis is a strong Mr Football candidate. Mentor’s defense played awful that game against Heights. They had no answer for Davis. Heights was far too dependent on him for their success. They had a bad season, no doubt about it. But they are a different team with him.

Mentor’s offense that game was very good. Probably the best they looked all season.

😳😳😳 McKinley +18… You taking action on that? I don’t believe a tougher schedule is the end all be all like some believe. But I do believe it plays a small part, but at the end of the day it comes down to the young men making plays and the coaches putting the kids in a position to execute and be productive. I think I have a good idea why you don’t care who played the tougher schedule. But I’ll give you action on McK +18 ALL DAY!

@MentorGrad2002 Glenville turned the schedule down when our HC was battling a major health issue, it was just a teeny tiny bit bigger than football. Look at our 10 non-conf games the last two seasons compared to Mentor’s 9 non-conf games the last three season. And I have no doubt we’d gladly head to JTO to play but if you guys play Massillon you’d definitely have to travel to Massillon 🤣 like we are next season.

Ive only talked about Massillon not extending the series the last time around. I got that straight from our administration. So yes it was factual.

You claimed we haven't called since then to try to reschedule. You can't give me any proof of that .
 
McKinley does not want to get into a offensive shoot out with Mentor. Mentor rolls in this one. McKinley could win if they could put together complete game offense and defense. First game with Jackson they didn't play offense last game they didn't play defense. Going to need both to beat Mentor.

Glenville hasn’t called Mentor but we called Chardon (they season they won state), Massillon, Ed’s, Hoban, UA, Liberty, Avon, IMG, and Dinwiddie (reigning VA state champ). Mentor CHOOSES to play Jackson and St. Ignatius GTFOH.

Hard to say. This thread isn't about Glenville or Massillon. You guys brought them up. I merely stated the facts that the last time around those two schools ended it. Just like McKinley ended it with us. Again if facts get you guys sensitive then sorry. But thats how it went down

I'm well aware that Massillon often demands teams only play them at home without a return trip. They do it to Eds too. We won't do that. Has to be equal to play them.

Mentor has played St Ignatius since 2005. When they were winning titles still. It's become a rivalry. So of course we play them annually. What other public has done that ?

Jackson was scheduled after McKinley wouldn't renew with us

We've played plenty of great teams over the years. Don't need to litigate it with the two of you. This thread isn't about you.

Don't most teams have a great shot of winning with a complete game on offense and defense? Id argue that for both teams especially if the other plays mediocre on either side to go along with it

In a one game scenario anything can happen. I think we win. Not confident we roll

I said that because McKinley either does one or the other. They don't put it all together. Wouldn't be surprised if Mentor wins this something like 31-14

McKinley played a much tougher schedule, in fact, Jackson could be the best win on the Cards resume but its an afterthought because it was the season opener where as you should remember not long ago Mentor cleaned McKinley's clock in an opener and met in the playoffs and a single play at the end of the game did the pups in in what was a great game at Mentor.

McKinley has the men on the field to get the win...it's the men on the sideline that worries the f$%k out of me.

If McKinley can play a "clean" game, and that's a big IF, they have a good chance to beat Mentor. But if the dumb penalties and sloppy play start piling up, which is their MO.....again, it's Mentor by 17.

Let's not do that bro Massillon has been Home and Home with a lot of teams over the year but I don't Glenville saying that about Ed's playing at home vs Glenville 😂

💯💯.... I understand the schedule is not the end of the world but I will say I have yet to see mentor actually be challenged because they really haven't been challenged because their schedule was not the greatest. I don't think that takes away too much from how good of a football team they really are but it has to matter at some point I'll definitely think McKinley has a chance in this game hell I remember a few years ago everybody thought Mentor was going to blow the dogs out but it came down to the last second stop for a minute and escape with a win at home. I understand that this is a different year but I also feel like this is a way better McKinley team and the fact that they are cooking right now says a lot

Massillon has made multiple trips to Mentor to play Mentor.
