Danimal, great list and I am not sure I would change much at all but how do you keep Jamison (State Runner Up, and 2x placer) and Rokk Johnson (State Runner Up, and 2x placer) off the list?? I know it is hard. Elder had a helluva run on 215/220 wrestlers in the 2000's and 2010's (10/11 state Qualifiers at the weight and 9 State Placers and 5 State finalist with 3 State Champs. Crazy right.

Funny how certain programs are dominant in specific weights. During Orlando's freshman year, Elder had a dominant big man; just like Fairfield was never short on lightweights. Middleweights seems to be Moeller. Harrison was a jack of all trades.

LaSalle had Neil Neyer at 155 in '76. Not only was he the state champ that year...He was dominant! Went on to wrestle in college DI for one of the Michigan schools I believe. Also, for Princeton, anybody consider Jeff Gaines? 4th in state as a Jr. at 105, then got hurt as a Sr. at 112, or 119. Very physical 112 lb'er.

Jeff is still in good shape. Still rolling on the mats and making sure my boys knew were his name was on Princeton's Wall of Fame. During the last summer open mats, he was cutting threw so many lightweight state placers that it reminded me of Count Doukoo vs Obi Wan and Anikan.

Nooks, Neil Neyer was truly dominant. His State Title was in his Jr year, he wasn't scored on until the District finals. He came back and was just as dominant his Sr year but got sick (had mono and they were worried about his spline) prior to the state meet and had to be held out or he would have been a 2 timer for sure. Just a little insight on him.

Darth, correct. His name was Sean Jameson who was a returning state placer the year before and he ended up the State Runner Up (defaulted in the state finals to a kid from Wadsworth while he was winning the match because of injury. He had beaten that kid earlier in the year as well).

I’ll take a shot since I am having wrestling withdrawal

Neyer went to Wisconsin.

...I knew it was "up north" somewhere:) My vote would be for Davis...only because he beat up on a not-so-favorite teammate of mine...

Can someone do one for Mayfield?
Here's a start (with some weight movement as needed). Someone with a bit more familiarity can take it from here.

106 Anthony Auletta (1981-2)
113 Dan McNulty (2008-5, 2009-4, 2011-7) or Andrew Fiorenza (1983-6, 1984-6)
120 Dom Herrera (2000-4)
126 Charles Sabatino (1980-2, 1981-5)
132 Nathan Spencer (2003-4, 2004-4) or Mike Carlone (2010-7, 2011-2)
138 Ed Crockett (1962-1)
145 Thomas Gallagher (1978-1)
152 Mike Ward (2003-2, 2004-1, 2005-1)
160 Tylan Coleman (2009-4, 2010-6, 2011-3)
170 Corey Haynes (2009-2)
182 J.R. Fairman (2001-4, 2002-2)
195 Matt Delguyd (2000-4, 2001-2, 2002-2)
220 Paul Long (1986-5, 1987-1)
285 Derrick Bendau (2001-4, 2002-4, 2003-2)

Nathan Spencer was also a runner-up at Newbury in D3 before transferring to Mayfield. Although Harry Feuer transferred to Brecksville for his senior year, he could be another name in the lower weights (3x placer).

Really nice list!
Two additional Mayfield wrestlers to consider are 1965 175-pound state champion Walt Podgurski and 1976 105-pound state champion Jay Beiter. Jay went on to wrestle at Hofstra University.

Can anybody do the Maple Heights or Akron Coventry teams?
Doing Maple Hts. brings back so many memories. First team only (except in a few cases where it would be unconscionable to leave out the alternative), others feel free to add in more (as many State Champs are on the outside looking in - LaScala, Novak, Kornell, Calendar, Kosarko, Jamie Milkovich, Mike Milkovich, Barrett, the Sadowski brothers, etc.).

106 Frank Romano (1965-1, 1966-1)
113 Kory Mines (2007-6, 2008-2, 2009-1, 2010-1)
120 Pat Milkovich (1969-5, 1970-3, 1971-1) … but how can I leave out Lon Hicks (1968-3, 1969-1)?
126 Tom Milkovich (1967-1, 1968-1, 1969-1)
132 Audie Atienza (1988-2, 1989-1) or Bill Black (1967-2, 1968-1)
138 Joe Pflug (1999-2, 2000-2, 2001-1, 2002-1)
145 Joe Peritore (1962-1, 1963-1)

170 Richard Robertson (2012-2, 2013-3) or Mike Fiala (1969-4, 1970-5)
182 Mark Urban (1977-4, 1978-1)
195 Enrique Robertson (2005-4, 2006-1)
220 Almonte' Patrick (2011-6, 2012-3)
HVT Merle Preble (1956-3, 1957-1)

Can anybody do the Maple Heights or Akron Coventry teams?
Akron Coventry is a fun team to do, especially with those Golden Years in the late 1970s and mid-1990s. It starts with the "Shawns" and ends with bumping up all the Potts and Scott to make it work. And in between, lots of studs. Pls add in as you wish.

106 Shawn Adkins 1996-1, 1997-1 (almost matched by Dave Riggs, 1973-1, 1974-2)
113 Shaun Tompkins 1995-2, 1996-6, 1997-1
120 Damon Stough 1994-6, 1995-4, 1996-1
126 Joe Workman 1992-2, 1993-3
132 Randy Glover 1977-1, 1978-1 or Ralph Glover 1979-1
138 Gus Kallai 1977-3, 1978-1, 1979-1
145 Keith Foxx 1976-2, 1977-1, 1978-1 (with special mention to a beast, Chad Owens 1993-1)

Going to give it a shot for Mogadore, given that I don't know a lot of the history I just looked up all of the state placers.
I just listed their state placements unless I included 2020, then I listed their final borofan ranking
