Who's your high School All- Time Squad?

I tried with Moeller. Not too familiar with older wrestlers, and I cheated sometimes. Made sure to put wrestlers at a weight they competed at in high school (or close equivalent with weight class changes). Sure I forgot someone!

106- Conner Ziegler (3x placer)
113- Stephen Myers (1x placer as freshman)
120- Jacoby Ward (4x placer)
126- Joey Ward (2011/2012 state champ)
132- Tom Zinkan (1991/1993 state champ)
138- Germane Lindsay (2007 state champ)
145- Joe Zinkan (2001 state champ)
152- Pierce Harger (4x placer)
160- Dakota Sizemore (2013 state champ)
170- Quinton Rosser (3x placer)
182- Ryan Lukens (2003 state champ)
195- Jake Thompson (2018 state champ)
220- Chalmer Frueauf (2013 state champ)
285- Frank Becker (2007 state champ)
Tom Zinkan was tough. I remember at districts, when he got spladled and didn't let that stop him from being an one hit wonder. His style was like some of the Princeton wrestlers, a boxing flow/ movement.

So with a 14 man lineup, using today's weights who do you plug where? You can slide guys up or down, if it's a weight they touched.
This is tough for the older programs. Up until 1969 there was only 12 weight classes 175 then unlimited.
If I get time today I think I will put together Cleveland John Marshall HS's lineup.

The guy(s) you choose don't have to be all world, just as some programs have a guy or 2 who had bad breaks, health, or stuff that didn't allow him to shine( like Fairfield, if you know Jason Laflin then you know how good Eric Laflin was).

Centerville...
106- Jim Kordik (5th state)
113- Tim Carnahan (4th state)
120- Shawn Fayette ( 1st state w Miamisburg after transferring)/ Damion Ryan ( 5th State)
126- Luke Acuna ( 3rd state)
132- Billy Jamison ( 3rd state)
138- John Beljan ( 2nd state )
145- Brent Davis ( 1st state )
152- Tim Maahs ( 3rd state @ 145)
160- Jim Pearson ( 1st state @ 155)
170- Dave Brown ( 1st state)
182- John Schultz ( 2nd state @ 175)
195- Nick Miller ( 1st state @ 189)
220- Kyle Rose (1st state @ HWT.)
HWT- Lance Wagner (3rd state)

Would love to see the all-time Centerville team against the all-time Fairfield team...:)

I'll have to confirm with Willie if ya can use Shawn, so no wrestlers will show up on every school's All- Time squad like Graham/ Olentangy Liberty or Central Crossing/ Olentangy Liberty.

Hey, I watched him 3 times in a Centerville uniform...He can't just take it off...:). But if Willie says no...then I'll pull him from the lineup...

Also, I listed Schultz as state champ..actually he was runner-up. My bad.
I'm joking, but if you can find me a guy that wrestled for 4 different schools, you can keep Shawn. Again just messing with you.

DarthMalice,
I know yer joking...At least in the C'ville/Fairfield all-time dual we'd be even...since Chris Coffing wrestled his first 3 years at Lakota, not Fairfield.
I know what your saying though. Guys like Dustin Schlatter. Would it be Perry? Or would it be Graham? Many others, of course.

To me for a guy like Dustin Shlatter it could for both schools, just at the grade level and weights he was at during his time at that particular school.

Elyria’s coaches working are working on a Elyria All Time team as I don’t know the older guys for them. I seen a couple different lineups but don’t want to post till I get ok to post it.
They may post 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and HM teams.

I believe Carr was a Massillon Perry all four years of high and in Kentucky for JH. But I’m getting old and so is memory.
Before MP, he was at Dayton Christian; Ryle in KY. If Dayton Christian did an All-Time squad, that 2014- 15 team would cover a lot of slots( Tommy Hoskins, Hunter Bray, Ronnie Pietro, Logan Lacure, Andrew Hoskins, Michael May, Nick Vestal- would of won state if not for a sophomore name Kaleb Romero).

I'll give this a run for Claymont. The change in weights (both by class & by kids growth) makes this difficult:

106- Chuck Grandison
113- Dustin Warner
120- Tyler Warner
126- Tyler Reichman
132- Kyle Warner
138- Ryin McDaniel
145- Matt Peters
152- Elliott Peters
160- Kurtt Peters
170- Jason Freeman
182- Ray Starkey
195- Jeff Grove
220- Garrett Harding
HVY- Josh Jackson

This list leaves off quote a few phenomenal wrestlers. Some on the brink were Kayne Toukanen, Luke Langdon, Cody Garbrandt, Zach Garbrandt, Craig Shaw, Scott Shaw, Scott McDaniel, & Terry Jackson....just to name a few.

No surprise there are lots of Peters and Warner's on the list!

Kyle Rose was a beast. He played football in college? How did he end up?

Cleveland West
The school closed/merged in 1970. As far as I can determine their last State Placer was Louie ‘Junebug’ Natale who won in 1961. Additionally, the sources I used are somewhat incomplete; sometimes only showing first and second. Also, I only saw a few of these gentlemen wrestle so I am unable, in many cases, to say who was better at a given weight. Thus, I am showing all the placers I could find/remember. And I know nothing about any state qualifiers who did not place. The holes in the upper weights are a manifestation of the weight structure in those years. An example of this would be Sandy Colosimo. He was 4th at Hwy in one year and 2nd at 166 in another year. These were adjoining weights at that time.
Any errors are mine.

Huge,
Rose played 4 years at West Virginia Univ. By Sr. year was up to around 275 lbs. Played DT. Tried out for a couple NFL teams, but to my knowledge either wasn't signed, or never made an active roster. Though a tall Hwt. wrestler at 6'5, in my mind he was always a better fit at light heavy (220) where he didn't have bend down so far to get under the typical low center of gravity of most true heavyweights. Sort of Luke Fickel-like, though not quite as slick...
