What are some long overdue matchups that you would like to see happen? Or some series that should be renewed?

Miss the old Steel Valley Conference rivalries:
Struthers vs. Boardman
Cardinal Mooney vs. Austintown Fitch
Boardman vs Ursuline
Struthers vs. Cardinal Mooney

Add to that
Chaney vs. Austintown Fitch

With Ironton being independent now I hope the 2 can come together and play soon as they both can ease up finding a late season game
I would love to see Massillon vs Ironton the Battle of orange and black the battle of the Tigers. I think that will be a good little series two passionate towns with great history hopefully it happens in the near future.

I believe their junior high or jv teams have play recently. I don’t know as far as how competitive they were but it’s shown that both sides have been in contact

The obvious one for me, and I have brought it up on other threads, is my St. Joe's Vikings vs. Lake Catholic. I have much respect for the Cougars, and this game should be on the schedule every year.

regular season (neutral field)
[2024] Marion Local (Maria Stein, OH) 41 (97%), [2024] St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH) 10 (3%)

playoffs (neutral field)
[2024] Marion Local (Maria Stein, OH) 42 (98%), [2024] St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH) 8 (2%)
It's not accurate. It tells you on them predictors do not use for teams more than 2-3 divisions apart. I'm not saying this score couldn't happen (even though I doubt it) just saying the prediction tool isn't accurate for Divsions that far apart

If that game and score somehow happened, the Yappi Servers may combust

Not sure if it’s happened super recently but Ironton/Steubenville could be another good one that falls under this category
I think Ironton Steubenville is the most natural rivalry in Ohio that has never come to fruition. It’s a huge distance but i can’t see that being a reason to not play. A home and home in two iconic stadiums with two nearly identical demographic towns provides for a perfect rivaly.

There are too many to name. You could add Shadyside, Wellsville, and Marietta to this as well. I mean the Battle of the Orange and Black Tigers.

Ironton will insist on a two-game deal with one game at each site. Big Red won't travel that far. So, it will never happen.

Honestly, as they should.
Honestly, it's dumb for a high school team, band, and cheerleaders to be on a bus for 9 hours on a Friday or Saturday. Steubenville pretty much has an open invite to teams their size that want to come in and fill an open slot, but Columbus (150 miles - 1way) is about the farthest they'll go for home and homes.

"Big Red won't travel that far" Name some teams that have 9-hour round-trip home and homes; I'll wait.
