That one has never happened and I have pretty good records on Mentor going back to 1950.
LC is one of the few I'd see saying screw it, well join that league.
I'd worry about how they'd compete in most other sports, but they'd still be the favorite in football.
Archbold is the other I'd see stepping up. MAYBE PH, but they'd have options and are a good deal smaller.

Morgan is just a mere 25 miles away from us yet we've never played a "Morgan" team since we left the MVL in 1964.
Trimble vs Amanda-Clearcreek:
2 programs with a rich history, I have no doubt this would be a hard hitting game.

3 very competitive games all 3 times these teams have played in the playoffs, a home and home would bring some very good games I feel

Mentor is a very good D1 program /state power for several years now. They also are one of the few public schools that will schedule the private powers always scheduling Ignatius and Eds during their heyday. I am sure if Hoban called to arrange a home and home they would gladly accept.

I'd like to see this game as well. The 2 schools play a freshmen game against each other almost every year, and had an annual scrimmage for years.
Problem is, out of Grove's current 3 non-conference games, who do you drop? You cannot drop Pandora - that game will be played in week 1 as long as both schools have football programs. Week 3 against Patrick Henry has become a heck of a rivalry game. Since they started that series it's 5-4 in favor of Grove, and every game is a good one. Just about every year the winner of that game ends up playing in their respective regional championship. Week 2 vs. LB is another great matchup that has quickly become a rivalry game with a huge crowd at all 3 games so far.
I'd love to see it happen, but unless LB or PH decide they don't want to play Grove anymore there's just no room for it in the schedule.

I can confirm Ansonia wants to play Versailles week 1. They tried to get it done once Versailles dropped Celina but were told Versailles wanted to schedule MU again. So they renewed with Riverside.

Greeneview vs Clinton Massie would be a hard nosed football game. I watched those 2 play against each other in the KTC back in the mid 90s.

Clinton Massie is a whole different animal now than what they were in the 1990’s. Since 1997 Massie has had only 2 losing seasons. If both schools had played one another each year since 1997, I’d guess that Greeneview would have won 3 to 5 games with most of the games being lopsided in CM’s favor.

I can agree with this, but going forward I think CM/Greeneview could be a decently competitive series, Greeneview can’t be that far off from being a D4. I would love to see Greeneview face one of Miami Trace, Clinton Massie, Wilmington, London, Jackson or maybe even Xenia in the coming years.

completely agree. they have Waynesville and Blanchester the next 2 years, both great games for them. maybe start off with a scrimmage with one of the above teams. London and Jackson might be stretches.
speaking of those two, London vs Jackson would be a nice game.

Conneaut to South Point is probably as far apart as you can get in Ohio.
North Central-South Point!
North Central isn't THE most northern, pretty sure Sylvania is further north and Lake/Ashtabula Counties go further north. But the north vs south battle would make it fun.
Pioneer to South Point is a 5 hr, 17 min drive btw.

If Chillicothe improves to what they were in the SCOL from 2013-2016, I would love to see them and Clinton Massie play again as well. Those games were usually hard hitting and intense nail bitters.
North Central is awfully close to the Michigan border.
I think Toledo Whitmer is closer.
