WK 13 Massillon (12-0) vs Lake (9-3)

Hopefully we don't end up in Parma again, foolish for teams this close to each other to drive that far north to play each other.
Lake's defense will do well but we can't expect them to stay on the field all night. Offense has to find a way to move the ball. We are certainly the underdog in this game but keep in mind these are high school kids on both sides with unknown weather conditions. any team no matter how well coached can still make mistakes. A few untimely mistakes from either team can make a difference. I hope for a great game and no injuries to any players on either team. Go Lake.

it's a D2 playoff thread and leads to a matchup with Hoban so what's so bizarre? Hoban is mentioned several times by other people than myself. Relax.
Actually it doesn’t, it leads to a matchup with Green or Canal Winchester. So as said earlier go to the Hoban thread or your therapist.

Doesn't matter why, just said that they did. I was just glad that they played the game and didn't cancel due to the flu. Would Massillon have played the game if it had been at Hoban? Or would they have said it wasn't fair? Yea I know Massillon would have brought 12,000 fans. Blah blah blah.
Do you have anything to say about the topic????

Alrighty so after watching a little bit of film on one of the blue streaks games. IF I had to compare them to any team that we played this season I would compare them to Elkhart. I obviously feel like Lake is a step above Elkhart but Elkhart was more athletic than the blue streaks nothing really stands out to me other than they do play great team football they do not seem to have that many athletes and I feel like in order for like stay in this game they need more players than just Nate Baker. I'm not trying to take a shot at a child but they're going to need absolutely more guys to step up for them to remotely have a chance nothing really sticks out about him to me on film. I feel like he is a great athlete most times because he is better than most people on the field but now it's going to be a different story he is not the best athlete on the field and I feel like our defense is going to make him look average he might be the 10th or 12th best player we have seen all season and that's a stretch it might even be higher. I have a lot of respect for Lake but I just don't see how they keep this game close I will say they do have the ability to make some plays but then it's kind of hard to judge because of the level of competition that they played the game that I'm watching is the Boardman game and as we know the Spartans was not good this year so I guess it's kind of hard to see how good the blue streaks are. They're offensive line is kind of small definitely not the biggest offensive line we have seen all year but not the smallest again like I said they remind me of Elkhart I think the recipe for the Tigers are simple keep your heads do your job and jump on them quick and move on to the next week.

I watched the blowout vs green : lake 0 - green 28 : hopefully we block 33 the d end for lake . He can disrupt the backfield and get clean shots on the rb . I’m guessing 49 🐅 - 0 lake : and the way canal Winchester looked vs Watkins memorial : I see us playing green . Green looks physically strong and has some nice athletes .

That's why I need to watch I need to try to find that game I could only find Boardman versus Lake

Lake may not have the athlete's Massillon has but they play extremely hard. Never under estimate that. There should be a sign in the locker room that says remember Green.

They play extremely hard and are very good upfront. They also have a very gifted running back in Nate Baker. Has over 400 yards in 2 playoff games. I think Lakes problem is they are a running team and Massillon front 7 on D is unreal. Either way Lake is no slouch and plays physical hard nosed football. They will just not be able to overcome the talent Massillon will have on both sides of the ball.
