WK 13 Massillon (12-0) vs Lake (9-3)

When you look at who lake has played it doesn't look good for lake
I say this year after year it is no disrespect too Lake but playing a tough regular season schedule definitely prepares you for the playoffs. I do got a lot of respect for Lake but they just don't go the athletes in my opinion to be able to make this a competitive game for all four quarters

Yes truly no disrespect but your regular season schedule should prepare you for the playoffs

My guess is that Lake loses by 4-5 touchdowns, unfortunately. Lake's offense has underwhelmed all season. Defense is very good but we don't have the horses to run with Massillon. 35-0 Massillon. Hoping for a miracle, however!

Some people are claiming this is Massillon's best team in the past few years & possibly the best chance to take the title home. I haven't seen any games this year.

What do the Massillon people think?

You would be correct. This is the best Massillon team I have seen so far in my lifetime atleast. They seem to swarm to the ball on defense really well. Very good at protecting the edge and funneling everything back to our great linebacking core. Offense is very potent with finally having a threat to run at the qb position. Our receivers aren’t huge but run routes very well and have very good hands and speed. We keep our running backs fresh and cycle out several to always have fresh legs going. Our guys no longer just try and make plays they are disciplined and stick to the assignments they are given and trust the coaching staff to put them in position.

I would not go that far. The Jamir Thomas led team, Aiden Longwell with Ballard/Lamp, Hartson was a great back. This Massillon team is among several Regional champs and Finalists in recent years so I'll wait a few more weeks to compare.

Alot of respect for Lake but don't think they are ready for Hoban/Massillon/Avon level yet. It's a long process not an quick one, as we can see (as a Massillon fan), but they are heading in right direction.

Extreme mismatch for Lake with their low key offense. A Mass v. Green game could be a little more interesting, but this is probably 35-0 Tigers.
Agree. The offence can't move the ball.Without baker.oh my.Hoping for a more talented quarterback next season ,that we've been lacking.Still love the blue.

Massillon still need to clean up the penalties. Too many silly penalties that could be costly against better teams. After 12 games, players should know how to line up without being off-side. A very talented team that hopefully won't be their own worst enemy in crucial situations.

I agree ! The holding or face mask penalties I can handle, but way too many encroachment penalties that keep drives alive. That’s an aggressive D though but still frustrating.

So far they have reminded me of my teams in the 1980's/ Very tough minded kids who play together as a team. Other than the 80's, I would have to go back to 1970 and then from there I cannot judge as I only have seen the game films, stories etc from teams before that. Yes, I am old !!
These kids have a chance to create their own legend/history,

If the Lake center had trouble with snaps last night I can’t imagine he’s gonna have a fun night lining up across from Mike Wright. I recall a few bad snaps in the game last year between these two teams.
