His option for next yr is 5 million im pretty sure
That seems like a good deal for the Reds given his production. I mean, who else are they going to have bat cleanup?

Its not all his fault. We didnt hit in games 3 and 4. Plus without Latos steppin in and playin huge in game 1, we probably lose that one
I never said it was...but I gotta respect a guy who is willing to shoulder the blame.
Horrible disappointment to end the season. While the pitching was not good the last two games of the series, I blame the choke job more on mistakes in the field (Rolen obviously, Cozart today before the Grand Salami), which is uncharacteristic of the Reds, and also choking with runners on. If I counted correctly, the Reds left 21 ROB in games 4 and 5. You do not win games doing that. Ever.
Joe Votto was also a big flop IMO. The guy has been going to the plate with the approach of a lead-off hitter almost. Walks are good. High OBP is good. But you are the best hitter on the team. At some point you have to attack and drive in runs.
All-in-all good season, horribly disappointing, but we do have a lot to look forward to next year.
Ludwick definitely liked Cincinnati. He said it was the most fun that he'd had in his career. The Reds need him next year.
This group of players will never win. Get rid of them all and start completely over. Best bet IMO.
Who all do we have locked up long-term besides Bruce, Votto, and Phillips?
Totally forgot about Masset.
And maybe Madson will feel bad taking all the $ without throwing a single pitch and come at a discounted rate![]()

If the Cardinals win tomorrow, it's going to be even worse. Lead the division all second half and they end up advancing further in the playoffs. Still STL's bítch![]()
I felt worse Tuesday because I knew that it was going to be awfully tough to win after blowing that opportunity. I was correct. Plus I felt so bad for Homer, who honestly looked better on Tuesday than he probably did during his no-hitter. He was at least facing a real team instead of the Pirates.
