You can't say that. Regardless of what the rotation was, the bats still disappeared at home. If Bailey couldn't get the win with the performance he had in Game 3, no one was going to get the win.

True, but it's likely that Bailey doesn't get destroyed in Game 4 like Leake did.

I'd love to see Ludwick back. The Reds definitely need to improve the bench. That was a huge weakness for them. I wouldn't mind Xavier Paul coming back, but I could do without Cairo or Valdez.

I would also be okay with Arredondo finding a new home next season. Ondrusek too. Broxton basically does what Ondrusek did, but better, plus you gotta be excited for J.J. Hoover.

That hurts, he will be able to command bigger money as a FA. I was not sure if it was a team or mutual option

The Reds are just going to have to pony up and spend the money. They are built to win now and need to keep him. They already have a hole to fill in CF. Filling LF too would be a difficult challenge. I would imagine that Ludwick would like to stay if possible. He seemed to like his teammates and hitting in that ballpark turned his career around.

And Nick Masset will be back i assume. This bullpen could be sick next year.

Agree all around, I know Cairo's contract is up, not sure about Valdez? Would like Ludwick back but we need to get a guy who can hit lead off. Stubbs is a stud on D and I would like him to come back, just not as a everyday player. If we could add a everyday center fielder to hit lead off maybe the 3 of them (Ludwick, Stubbs, and someone else???) could split time in LF and CF, Ludwick will not play everyday.

I expect the Reds to try to sign Broxton to close and maybe try the starting thing with Chapman again.

Agree, Chapman is an elite arm that would really benefit the Reds in the rotation if he can master the art of pitching. If Broxton and Masset are both back, the bullpen will be in good hands without him.

Turning Chapman into a starter is one reason I'm curious about what's backing up the starting pitchers in Louisville. Moving a closer to a starter is always delicate -- they give you fewer innings than a vet and may need more rest between starts on occasion.

Wasn't he supposed to be a starter when he came here?
