Vintage Coach Reardon! Great call by the Irish coach with momentum on their side!
15 years ago he pulled this off in the state championship game. What was that kickers name? He had an oversized helmet. He also had a big tackle on a kick return in that game. Real physical kid.

Congrats to Ursuline. Tallmadge needs to make more of a name for itself as it is repeatedly called TALLmadge all night. The "Tall" should rhyme with "Pal".

I was a little disappointed in how conservative Tallmadge got with the 14 point lead. After the stop at the 1, they went under center, which almost never occurred all season. That safety and Ursuline punt return changed the game. Ursuline went on a 38 point run before Tallmadge went back to their bread and butter. No way was that 14 point lead going to hold up in this game. Proud of Tallmadge for not quitting. Couple mistakes that went against them had gone the other way, might have been a game again. The onside recovery was a killer as well as the controversial fourth down spot. Great coaching by Ursuline. The hurry up offense had Tallmadge gassed by mid 3rd quarter. Ursuline's defense looked gassed but it didn't happen until the 4th quarter.

Good luck to Ursuline against Canfield next week.

IS THERE A SPECIAL CONSIDERATION I'M MISSING? IF A KICKOFF GOES OUT OF BOUNDS
UNTOUCHED, ANYWHERE BETWEEN THE RECEIVING TEAM'S 34 TO THE 1 INCH LINE
AND THE RECEIVING TEAM DOESN'T WANT THE BALL REKICKED THE BALL IS PLACED
ON THE RECEIVING TEAM'S 35 YARD LINE. I WAS JUST WATCHING URSULINE IN WEEK
1 AND THEIR KICKER PUT ONE OUT OF BOUNDS BEYOND BROOKFIELD'S 35 YARD LINE.
URSULINE DIDN'T REKICK AND THE BALL WAS PLACED ON THE BROOKFIELD 35.
If ball does not cross the front plane of the goal-line, ball goes to 35. If ball is touched but ref rukes the momentum of the ball took it out same result.
Post this on Ref thread for full rule book text

I thought ursuline really picked up the intensity on defense in second half and then the team speed showed. Not sure why Tallmadge coaches were complaining so much in second half. Hurst and Dixon were the real deal. Hurst very good with his feet and awareness. I agree with yappi though seemed they got a little conservative at times. Ursuline play calling in first half was so vanilla. When they finally decided to spread them out is when they started to find success. On to Canfield... should be a great game.
