SW Ohio

I'm guessing it will take more than 34 points to beat Springboro.
😂😂You got that right. They definitely missed a lot of FT towards the end. Should have been 40-42 pts. Haven’t seen the stats but it seemed we were extending a lot of possessions and not firing shots up every chance like normal.

I was way off with my best chance at an upset pick. East wins in dominating fashion. West Clermont scored 8 points in 3 quarters of action, that was eye opening. East vs MND on the horizon, if they can get by Walnut will East prevail?

Was hoping to see West Clermont advance out and get a shot at MND and the former lead recruiter for the Wolves.
MND vs West Clermont would have been a great battle knowing there is a lot of bad blood between the former and current coaches. Damn Lakota East for screwing that up.

As expected, Seton loses 41-27.

Saints were winning 12-7 and tied 22-22 at half. Springboro jumped ahead by 6 after three and wins going away.

What's the logical/logistical reason for there not being some combination of regional final double/triple headers besides R3/R5 and R4/R7?

ZAMARI BAKER WITH THE BLOCK OF HER LIFE AND WALNUT WINS 50-48
Not surprised at all. A GREAT staff and Lazar gets the very most out of what he is handed, making kids better and instilling confidence in all his players. Zamari is exhibit A, or exhibit Z as you might say of a staff that develops, empowers and demands kids to be there best, not cast them away making it impossible to grow and improve. Somebody ought to let the AD know to find a boys staff that does the same. They have a legit shot at Princeton Sunday. I know Walnut’s staff will have his small roster ready to go.

Spreads for Regional Finals!

Walnut Hills v. Princeton (-6.5)
Springboro v. Mason (-5.5)
Toledo Start v. Winton Woods (-14.5)
Badin v. Purcell Marian (-12.5)

I literally don't know how Walnut is pulling this off. According to the box scores they have been playing 6 kids this whole tournament. Amazing run by the Lady Eagles.
That did not change in the MND game. Since Onyx O'Neil got hurt midseason they've trimmed their rotation down to 6 and haven't put it back. Baker had to survive quite a while with 4 fouls before that final block.

Is anyone surprised by the outcome of the Walnut vs MND game? How did the little ECC school sneak up on MND? Did the staff at MND not take the public school serious? Will they be calling Dr. Rogers soon and not for a filling but for replacing the hat? How does next seasons recruiting class look in comparison to his previous 2? Princeton and Sycamore are both filled with young talent, not sure MND will be much better next season.

LE and Springboro will be down. Mason will be just fine.

They chose the wrong replacement for Doc. It happens. Might take ‘em a bit to figure it out.

As mentioned by others, Walnut played great btw!

Definitely worth a watch though.
For sure. Personally more excited for the two D1 games but if Badin shoots the ball well it could definitely get interesting. I just can’t see Dee not going out with another dominant state championship run. I do stand by that they should of certainly gone up to D1, it would be interesting to see if they would still be playing right now or not if they did.

Walnut is playing really well. Not sure MND was ever THAT good in the first place. MND is going to lose some really important pieces this year, but the whole reason they brought this new coach in is because he thinks he can bring in kids through AAU, so we will see. Hackney, Ava Simpson, Carine Harris, and the Vieth twins will play much bigger roles next year. He will be bringing in some Legends kids in too, I'm sure.

Sycamore is set to be really good. They got way better as this season went on. The loss of Burgess will hurt, but the most talented kids on their team are freshman.

Princeton will be interesting. Gerton is going to graduate but obviously they still have Erin Thomas. And Princeton is always a destination for random transfers.

Mason will obviously graduate Parrish, but Habra and Stanfield remain. Can Dudgeon keep the same level of play with a little less talent?

Springboro will graduate a ton but they have some real talent at the younger levels. May take a a year to develop into a good varsity team but it's there.

That Lakota West class of Fox, Bayliff, Williams and co. will be in their senior year next year. Can they finally do something?

Lakota East had some really strong classes come through and have now graduated. Who's left? Not sure.

Milford got upset early but they feel like they are on the way up with a lot of young talent.

Seton got better as the season went. The talk has been that they have the younger talent for a few years now. Does it ever develop into a dominant team?

Fairmont is a team to watch. I thought they would get further this year, but they are going to be even better next year as they return basically the entire team.

Purcell has wins over Anthony Wayne, Springboro, and lost to Pick Central by 1. I think they would be competing for a D1 state title. It's ridiculous that they stuck around in D3.
