Kinda crazy that this job hasn't been posted publicly yet (been over a week)? Makes me think they might already have their guy?

Most districts have to follow the policy of posting it within the district for a week, then open it up outside.

I'm aware of that policy but I believe it's been a week and a day... also since I posted that last message thehawg has gotten new info that they do indeed have their guy...shockwaves to follow

I've been sworn to secrecy or I would. This one is going to blow some minds though. Not sure when LE plans to announce it. By hs standards I would describe this as a big time hire as well as totally unexpected

According to Wikipedia his final season at Colerain was in 2006.

From 2007-2011 he was at UC. Then from 2012-2017 he was at tOSU. 2018 and 2019 he was with the Tennessee Titans. 2020-2021 back at tOSU. 2022-present back at UC. It's a darn shame he couldn't bring his career full circle when the Colerain job re-opened.

For what it's worth, he was a Lakota HS assistant coach from 1985-1988.

I agree. There was so much hate thrown towards him which didn't make sense. He overachieved many seasons. And when you talked to people about why they didn't like him, it had to with the triple option. The triple is what allowed his teams to overachieve.

East needs to hit this hire out of the ballpark or they will regress A LOT!

That would shooting high and be a big get. He coached and taught at his alma mater in Washington after the NFL. He's currently a head coach in Texas.

Now, Coverdale, the OC at X is someone I'd go after.

Specht not interested in any other high school position and Coverdale not interested in being a HC

I just looked him up the other day when his name came up in the thread. He had some succes in Washington and Texas High Schools. Would be big news if he came back to coach an area high school.
