Ohio State Recruiting

Long term ROI, sure. But based upon what we know today, I believe he is. I actually like Sanchez better for OSU’s current scheme. Offord seems to fit what Lanning wants to do on the outside anyway. Perhaps that helped him make the decision, along with a nice bag of Nike cash.
What current scheme is that? Get beat every play? The OSU DBs suck and don't turn their head and play the ball

Top 5 class, closer to 1st than 7th + 2nd in the Big 10 (by 1%) + you’re a bozo
For them to drop this far down after being #1 for so long is just awful. There is no other way to slice it. Ryan Day the "Closer" strikes again.

ALWAYS having to try and hold on to recruits while rarely flipping the big time players from other places.

No I’m not. I’m specifically asking you about the scheme. Are you going to answer?
Sure, I'll answer. Lol.

Part of the reason Sanchez initially chose the Bucks is because of the scheme. He said so himself. With Knowles and Walton flexing between off coverage and press at the line of scrimmage, they can take advantage of both his speed (off) and physicality (press). If you've watched the film, that's right in his wheelhouse. He's a lockdown dude playing for a top team in Texas. Most importantly, given the current struggles in Columbus, he has shown consistent ability in staying on top of vertical routes. Rare ball skills with technical footwork. He seems to get his head around too.

That's alot better. They can be schemed up however way but these DBs don't turn their heads in coverage.

Recruitment debates are such a waste of time.

OSU has been Top 3 for basically the past 6-7 years. You see where that has got them.

Anyone with a brain knows St. Clair will likely never take a meaningful snap at Ohio State, let alone, a Power 4 conference.

What makes you say that regarding St Clair?

I don’t know that St. Clair ever takes a meaningful snap at Ohio State if the competition that exists in the QB room holds, but IMO he definitely plays somewhere.

I’d be concerned about having a big learning curve having stayed at Bellefontaine as opposed to transferring to a bigger program, but he’s a big dude with a big arm. He’s 6’4 and already weighs about 230. He’s going to be a tank after 2-3 years in a college program, and if out as a redshirt freshman or redshirt sophomore somebody will take a flyer on a 6’4 235-240 lb. QB that has some arm talent.

TSC has a lot of arm talent, I know those spring/summer camps-competitions are not an end all when judging QB talent, but you need to have a gun for an arm and be accurate to win those things. I saw him play once vs Coldwater he is not a running QB but his arm talent is special.

Stick with hockey.

Unfortunately some truth to that statement but not about the young man's talent. With free agency, a HC has to recruit the best QB possible each cycle.

Sanders officially sticks with Tennessee. What a disastrous close to this class. Never flipping the 5 star or composite top 100 players and get players flipped from them. Ryan Day is the worst closer close to NSD

Well, another good class for the Bucks for every position except the positions of greatest need:

Well looks like I’m eating some crow. OSU and Hartline talking to Texas Tech transfer Micah Hudson.

Have to think that means Inniss transfers if anything comes of this.

I hope OSU concentrate on OL in the transfer portal. Hopefully get some guys who have already established themselves.
Hate to say it but Michigan did a good job getting linemen out of the portal.

There are rarely lineman in the portal who are national championsship caliber and OSU needs 2-3. I no longer blame Frye, it’s a Ryan Day problem. The worst closer and line recruiter of the better programs

Michigan picked up 3 linemen from the transfer portal before the 2023 season. Seemed to work out for Michigan.
OL LaDarius Henderson (Arizona State)
OL Myles Hinton (Stanford)
OL Drake Nugent (Stanford)

They cheated. The same rules don’t apply to them
