Ohio State Football 2024

In 1 or 2 more weeks is when the NCAA will come out with their penalties for the Stalions cheating, Moore trying to destroy evidence, etc stuff.

And Caleb Downs becomes the 34th player to be named unanimous All American in Ohio State history. OSU players have been named unanimous All American 39 times. He’ll have the chance to be the 6th Ohio State two time unanimous All American next year joining Marvin Harrison Jr, Orlando Pace, Archie Griffin, Bob Ferguson and Hopalong Cassidy

Assuming he returns.

I don't disagree with the ultimate prize is winning the Natty. But I am also realistic that winning that on a yearly, maybe decade basis is extremely difficult. "THE GAME" is played every year, until that changes, that is 100% a yearly goal that IMHO is not to be taken for granted and osu and Michigan work 365 for that game. That means something just knowing that.
With the playoff going to 12 teams (and maybe more), Ohio State "should" make the playoff every year.....so the goal of winning a Natty is more realistic every season now than it was when you had to be in the Top 4 just to have a shot at the title.

I disagree. Maybe getting in is easier. But winning it is Harder. Look at the potential path they have to take. Tennessee, Oregon, Texas- that is just to get to the finals. That is brutal and if you think that is easy, our definitions of easy do not match.

I mean it’s a hell of a lot easier to win by getting in as a 5th-12th seed as opposed to not getting in at all.

The disrespect of Ohio State‘s home stadium continues.

First, it was Michigan players attempting to plant a “Block M” flag at midfield after a fourth-straight victory in The Game rivalry series on Nov. 30.

Now, it appears Tennessee fans are getting into the act, this time temporarily renaming Ohio Stadium as “Neyland North” on the Apple Maps app ahead of Saturday’s College Football Playoff first-round game between No. 8 seed Ohio State (10-2) and the ninth-seeded Volunteers (10-2) at 8 pm ET on ABC/ESPN.

tI was worried that tOSU fans would not be fired up for this game. But the level of disrespect by Tennessee fans may wake up a sleeping giant, and they will have a long drive home after freezing their butts off in the Shoe.
That being said, Buckeye fans will have never experienced the number of opposing fans in their stadium. The team had better get off to a roaring start, or the only sounds coming from The Shoe will be " Rocky Top."

Given the weather conditions I think only the most ardent fans will show up. So with respect to the OSU contingent it may be addition by subtraction from a noise standpoint. Our 85,000 might be louder than our normal 100,000.

This ^^^^^.
Actually 30,000 members of the VolNation in the hallowed confines of Ohio Stadium might present a learning experience for Buckeye fans. How to be loud and enthusiastic in support of their team instead of acting as if they were at Wimbledon
