I agree BL is typically not good, but PG will win 7-6 and Ayersville is usually one of the better teams in the GMC, just not this year, Bluffton will be just fine, our region might be worse than Groves

I can foresee a Patrick Henry vs Bluffton regional final, potentially. I’ll say PH is only blufftons biggest threat in that region.
-For Columbus Grove, it’s basically theirs to lose.

PH will definitely be in the mix and give Bluffton or whoever they play everything they can handle. Their coaching staff is too good to not improve over the next 7+ weeks. We'll find out how good Carey is, Hopewell-Loudon is a dark horse that's hard to predict because of their schedule

HL loaded up their non conference with very good teams and came out on top. I'd definitely call them a top contender.

Judging by the past few years I'd put them in the top 4 for sure, just hard for me to know how good they are because there's very little crossover with the teams they play and who I follow and keep up with

2024 Limaland Pick 'Ems Week 4
Sorry for the delay this week, weekend got away from me and then been a busy week at work! WEEK 3 RESULTS 4-way tie for first place in Week 3 between @Insane92 @PreacherZay @Old_School and @PantherSkin at 20-4 this week. The "Wild Western Buckeye League" tripped up everyone, as no one went 5/5...

Finally. After that brutal non conference schedule. We get into some conference play! First meeting with the knights since 2018 regional final, I believe.
I think the Redskins get it done Friday to get 1-0 in conference play!
Grove and Bluffton should roll to easy wins. No disrespect to Spencerville or delphos jefferson. But Grove and Bluffton are on different levels.
I’m very interested in the Allen East and LCC game. This will really give a good taste in how both of these teams really are. I’ll take the Mustangs in a close.

My picks for week 4!
Bluffton @ Jefferson: Bluffton will continue the steak for the easiest schedule so far and will once again earn a running clock by halftime. The Pirates win 42-7
Columbus Grove @ Spencerville: Back to reality for the Bearcats. Even without their QB the Bulldogs win big. I'll take Grove by 30
Crestview @ Ft. Loramie: Easily the most interesting game of the week. The Redskins have been through a meat grinder while Crestview's wins have come against awful competition. This one is difficult to call. I say Ft. Loramie gets their first ever NWC win on a late score, 28-27.
LCC @ Allen East: The Mustangs have key injuries to their best offensive lineman and their best linebacker. LCC is coming off of their first win against a very down Carey team. Another tough one to call. Won't be in town to watch it, unfortunately, so hopefully it will be on the radio. I'll take the T-birds 35-21.

I'm really interested to see how the FL/Crestview and AE/LCC games play out. It's hard to gauge how good both FL and LCC are - FL lost to 2 of the best teams in the state, but I thought they'd beat Covington more convincingly than they did. LCC lost to Shawnee, which I never saw coming, then struggled against an average St. John's team and beat up a Carey team that I thought would be decent this year. I think both come out with another win this weekend.

Grove’s offense didn’t skip a beat maybe even more diverse last night. They have so many weapons that can take it to the house on any play Teams that think Barraza is all they have will discover real quick this team is balanced with run and pass Their receivers are outstanding with speed Basinger-Hopkins-either Baxter boy can more than get it done. This is the real deal and I rarely say this but this may be Grove’s best TEAM due to the overall balance they have
This may be true. I was just tryin to give our buddy wishbone some content to use with a little bit of poorly written football knowledge that is very unrealistic. lol was just tryin to give what he was asking for!

I was pleasantly surprised on how we looked with our recent loss and changes. It will only continue to improve as the season goes on.

I don't think they were any more diverse than they were in previous weeks. I think it was just due to the fact they were making it a priority with Sautter at QB. Best completed over 70 percent of his passes in weeks 1-3 so it was always there but not really needed.
I do agree that this is the best team we have had in a long time on both sides of the ball and on special teams. Many weapons.

That's a pretty bold statement, especially with the success Grove has had in the last decade..I find it hard to believe this team is better than the linebacker team that came to Bluffton a couple of years ago., even with all these weapons Grove has
The reason this team is better is due to the fact that there doesn’t appear to be any weak areas and there is better balance between the run and pass. D backs are outstanding on this team they were ok in that other team but this year they as a group are superior Another fact is this team is faster as a team
