I'm not making best team we've ever had claims,,,,we are just trying to win the conference
I figured. I just wanted to be a smartbutt about it lolI'm not making best team we've ever had claims,,,,we are just trying to win the conference
Yes, we think this team is better than the 2022 team, mostly because the offense is more balanced. And yes, they are faster this year and that’s pretty undeniable. No one ever said the 2022 team was good because of their speed. The rest of this post is just dumb sarcasm in a reply to a comment that you made.Pretty amazing, not only better than linebacker team but faster than last year's team (I know from seeing it twice ),
Isn’t it true, I’ve heard about this, but does Grove actually just live Rent free in all of Bluffton fans heads for free?? It seems it’s always something about Grove this and Grove that…it just seems to me it’s all the success Grove is having is making someone else jealous?Grove fans: we think this team is really good
Wishbone: There’s no way this Grove team is better than in 2022
Grove fans: actually we think they are and here’s why
Wishbone: Better crown them state champs and tell everyone else not to show up! Arrogant grove fans making claims again!
it’s just annoying at this point…
I mean in a post last year, Wishbone claimed that the pirates are about to go on a 3-4 year run of regional and state titles….talk about hypocrisyIsn’t it true, I’ve heard about this, but does Grove actually just live Rent free in all of Bluffton fans heads for free?? It seems it’s always something about Grove this and Grove that…it just seems to me it’s all the success Grove is having is making someone else jealous?
Pretty much… I don’t have any problem at all with people talking about their teams or making realistic predictions. And I enjoy debating on teams as much as anyone. Wishbone though seems incapable of making a single post about Bluffton without a dig at Grove. It’s getting weirdIsn’t it true, I’ve heard about this, but does Grove actually just live Rent free in all of Bluffton fans heads for free?? It seems it’s always something about Grove this and Grove that…it just seems to me it’s all the success Grove is having is making someone else jealous?
Uhh no s#!t? Grove is 38-3 in the NWC since 2018, and has won their region in D6 3 out of the last 4 years now they’re in a bad D7 region. You might be the only person on earth that has a hard time comprehending that this Grove team with 20 seniors might be better than those prior teams. But to get real now, if you are saying this team is faster and more balanced than teams from the last five years, then we meaning the conference and Groves region are in trouble.
I’ll accept itI was unaware there were twenty seniors on the team,,,,would it help if I said I'm sorry?
I was unaware there were twenty seniors on the team,,,,
You knew. @BirdDog10 needs to take back his acceptance of your apology. You Can’t troll everyone., I could say all the same things about Grove..
Grove could enter playoffs 9-1 or 8-2. Grove is in a very easy region, easier than Blufftons, (and yes it's easier without Bluffton), if Grove makes it to the semis (I see no reason why they wouldn't), Canton runs through the MAC, also there are three maybe four teams in the MAC that beat Grove (or Bluffton)..and after this season Grove graduates like 20 plus guys, so there will be a drop off.
I fail to see what point you are trying to make.
I believe Spencerville will also make playoffs, their non conf wins will get them enough points.1. CG
2.bluffton
3. LCC
4. Fort Loramie
5. Allen East
6. Crestview
After these six it is kind of irrelevant as they won’t make playoffs. As far as comparing teams within conference before judging that is also irrelevant due to the fact that CG removes starters earlier than many teams Heck there have been games already where several starters didn’t play much if any in the entire second half -this only makes for more depth as the season moves forward
i agree. I think if spencerville can pick up 2 wins they're a lock for the playoffs. All 3 of their non-league opponents will win games in their conferences to help outI believe Spencerville will also make playoffs, their non conf wins will get them enough points.
It will be interesting to see at the end of the season how many top three members from other conferences the NWC non league schedule defeated
1) GroveSo here is a question to change topics, top four teams when in NWC when season is over.
1. CG
2. Bluffton
3. ?
4. ?
Curious to see how people think league will end up with the two new additions to our league.
Spencerville will beat Jefferson, probably pretty easily. I could see them sneaking a fifth win too. Drew Pasteur has them predicted at the #11 seed in their region at 4-6After watching the Bearcats I am not sure they will win another game. Absolute worst tackling team I have seen in years. Almost appeared as if they were scared to tackle. If in fact they qualified for playoffs it won’t be more than a first round blowout
Probably, but the only way to get better at football is to play more football, the Grove seniors will have played like six seasons of football by the time they graduateAfter watching the Bearcats I am not sure they will win another game. just getting caught up on this thread but it sure sounds like grove plans on playing marion in the state semis when they say they plan on playing marion in the state semisStill wanting on you to show me an interview where a coach/ player said they are playing Marion local in the state semi. If the media talks about it. It is not the same lol
Alrighty, then. So Grove has an expectation of getting to state semis. And it will most likely be Marion local I’ll guess. So there’s nothing wrong with a team saying that. They want to win the conference they want win regional title. Then the big prize of them all. I want to win a state title. I’m sure there are a lot more teams out there in multiple divisions with the same goals of reaching a certain achievements in their season. I see nothing wrong with it. Re reading this thread just seems like the it was something that was taken way out of context. IMOjust getting caught up on this thread but it sure sounds like grove plans on playing marion in the state semis when they say they plan on playing marion in the state semis
“We expect to get to Week 15 and play Marion Local (in the state semifinal),” said Trenton Barraza, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior and four-year letterwinner who plays running back and linebacker for the Bulldogs. “You know, we’re pushing every week for better and better. We want to win one week at a time, but in the back of our heads, we’ve got Week 15 in our head. We need to do everything we can to get to that game and then win more.”
Thank you for being a voice of reason. There are times that the reason has been missing in some of these posts. U r correct in saying nothing wrong with having goals I think every team has them some not as lofty as others depending on success and expectationsAlrighty, then. Yes. In Grove's case that should be their next step & goal. They have consistently been near the top of their conference & region.Thank you for being a voice of reason. Until, you win the conference a few years in a row you shouldn't expect to win it. Same goes with regional titles, you need 2 or 3 in recent prior seasons before you can set goals or expectations to win such region. Also don't even mention state titles unless you are a returning state champion. I have been educated on this site, and am better now for it.Yes. In Grove's case that should be their next step & goal. Honestly, I wish a team of the 3 I "follow" would be in that type of position at the moment. I guess semi following Van Wert, they have been in that space & semi following Celina last year was similar. Always semi follow the Mercer County MAC schools as well. It's only been 2013 Wayne Trace, 2016-2018 Crestview, and Parkway 2007 (with guys I knew around my age) that were in that spot. Enjoy & embrace it!
Yup, I agree with most of this. I think only reason you get so much backslash is you talk some much about This and that and Bluffton just hasn’t been there yet, they were last season and were so close if it wasn’t for the bulldogs. But Bluffton was there in both of those big games. They got a tatse of it and now they can be even more hunger this year to hopefully get the job down on their end. Same goes for me team. First time in a football conference them boys are goin all in to try and make school history.Until, you win the conference a few years in a row you shouldn't expect to win it. Bluffton goals for the season, we hope everyone has fun..
Careful, I have made the mistake in the past of making predictions or hyping up our boys and have gotten blasted for it. In the past I always believed the first step is you have to expect to win and play with confidence, if not you've lost the game before the coin toss. But now I know better, best thing to do is hope for mediocrity and if you get a few surprise wins along the way, then that is just swell.Yup, I agree with most of this.
