MAC 2024-25

It would be difficult to argue with Kyle Ahrens or Evan Eschmeyer as the best basketball players coming out of the MAC. I did not live in the area when Bobby Hoying played nor do I know if he was as highly recruited in basketball, like he was for football. Both Ahrens and Eschmeyer were recruited by high level college basketball teams. I don't believe Elwer is getting recruited by the same high level college teams that these two did.
back in the day, on that St Henry team.. wasn't Big RED just as important to that team as Hoying was...and then you also had Brunswick too

MAC scores 1/11:
Marion Local 51 Van Wert 37
Coldwater 59 Wayne Trace 46
New Bremen 51 Arcanum 36
Jackson Center 57 New Knoxville 31
Parkway 54 Delphos Jefferson 52

They both definitely were extremely important to that team and I have no argument on saying they might be the best team ever but all of them were football players first and were also extremely good at basketball. I dont know if any of them were as highly recruited for basketball as football.

This week will go a long way in determining the MAC champion as DSJ plays at Coldwater on Tuesday and host Marion Local on Friday.

ML is currently 3-0 in league 11 - 0 overall, DSJ 2-0 league 11-0 overall, Coldwater 2-0 league and 6-3 overall.

Thanks for the correction. 2 years in a row Marion Local at Delphos, not sure why the MAC scheduling is such that would be the case. 10 teams in the league, 5 games, can't rotate home and home every year. Maybe I am not seeing something.
I thought I read somewhere where the MAC reorganizes their schedule every other year, so there are some years where teams will play each other at home or away two years in a row. Personally, I like changing the order of when teams play each other, but they should always alternate home/away so they don't run into this issue.

It's not some years, it's every year since 2019 that they're playing multiple teams home/away for two years. It's very annoying to say the least. I love how the WBL does theirs. They "flip" their schedule with the last league game the previous year moves to the first league game the following season. Parkway has not played an alternate rotating schedule with New Bremen, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, St Johns, & Minster. It's been two away/two home since 2019. Makes no logical sense.

I believe Coldwater would like to repay DSJ for last years heartbreaking loss!

I think this is the 3rd sellout in the last 2 weeks. The game against Spencerville will also 100% sell out. Could be the hottest ticket in the area in the 2024/2025 season
the coach, and the two sons from Spencerville vs the coach and the two sons from St Johns...... heckva game

and this is not discounting what the other boys bring to the game...

wondering if those brothers play on the same AAU teams at all?

The Sensabaugh boys play for Nwest Ohio basketball club. Cam Elwer plays for Midwest basketball club. Not sure about his brother.
