Massillon has been called the City of Champions for many many years, not just since '72.
(Inferiority and sensitive would be someone who let's that bother them.)

Do you know for a fact that the baseball score in question was reported or could it just have been deleted by a mod trying to avoid a thread being derailed?
(Inferiority and sensitive would be someone who is upset that their trolling attempt was thwarted.)

Fans have posted MANY things in the football forum....on past Massillon threads that didn't belong there. Scores from other sports, Massillon's baseball coach getting busted, the lunch lady (Perry grad), etc....the reason I believe it to be linked is because....cheating is cheating, right? What did the baseball coach or the lunch lady have to do with Massillon football? Nothing, yet it was thrown in our faces in an attempt to shame us....guess it's just kind of an eye for an eye thing. Plus, if you think anyone in their right mind doesn't think it went on in football and basketball....you're crazy.

Now, the fact that all of this bothered you enough to post about Massillon (yet again) on a thread that it titled "Hoban '23" tells us ALL who really has the inferiority complex.

Farthest from the truth. When in actuality winning attracts winners. Very similar to Massilon who has great tradition. So athletic families seek out and move to your district. No different than a baseball player who is faith based wanting to play baseball at let’s say Walsh. Which has great baseball tradition. So let’s just be transparent as you say.
Recruiting is a strong word. Let’s just say you can’t win todays games with yesterdays scores. That’s why ignatious is struggling last few years.
Football kids leaving that school for other options.
But let them string a few strong seasons together and kids will return in bunches. Not recruiting but winning!

Yea you go with that “faith” based nonsense. Never said anyone was out recruiting middle school games either. But They are recruiting just stop. I know exactly how it works I’ve had plenty of family and friends go through the process.
Then you say public school kids attend a free camp and go in the data base and then they are contacted but you don’t know how that’s recruiting? Ok lol

B. I didn't post that baseball score. (Although I can post in your snowflake thread)
C. No one will ever know if there was anything nefarious in football or basketball. That's the beauty of self reporting, rather than being busted for cheating multiple times.
D. Why are you even on this thread? Your team won't play Hoban in the regular season unless it's at Massillon.
 
If people think Hoban is recruiting, ponder this.
Hoban has players (transfers) that have played high school football in maybe 2 or 3 counties at most.
Imagine a school that has players that have played high school football in a total of SEVEN COUNTIES. That's IMG level recruiting right there.

I for one am a Massillon fan, I am saying this in all seriousness. I hope the championship comes down to Hoban and Massillon in 2023. Will be a great game as the last 4 have have been!

Beating Massillon at Massillon in the 2020 State championship 35-6 was the cherry on top. Seeing it live in person was even better as the atmosphere at PBTS is great. But I would not schedule Massillon in the regular season and vice versa as you will probably play each other in week 13-15 anyway.

Yes it’s hard to believe in todays world, someone might actually want a faith based high education rather than go to massilon and get a college scholarship and flunk out of college because the highschool curriculum was a joke! I was telling the truth on mostly how it goes. Now I know why all the hate towards massilon. Go get a championship then post something. Now I can root against massilon and post on here how overrated that program is!

These guys are so full of Shizz it’s not even funny. “Faith based education” and they don’t recruit. For years and years Hoban was average at best and now suddenly are on the cusp of dominating all of Ohio in multiple sports. These people really think that we’re that naive? I’ve already stated to that dude that I know the process and how it works. Again I’ve had family and friends go through it. And all of you can hate Massillon all you want we don’t care. I’m just sick of the narrative that you just tried to make stating that basically they don’t recruit. Stop with that dumb shizz. No one that has half a brain believes they’re not recruiting kids and trying to turning into a national powerhouse. Which by the way they’re doing a pretty good job of. But please Stop trying to insult our intelligence even though us a Massillon guys aren’t very bright. These fools don’t recruit but have more D1 football players in one school than most of the entire stark/summit area. Oh, and by the way it’s Massillon not Massilon. Must be that faith based education you got too huh?

Interesting. In the OHSAA rosters from the state championship basketball game and semifinals, no one named Crable is listed on Hoban’s rosters. 🤷🏻‍♂️
