They lost it when they started to out coach themselves. 2nd quarter tied 7 to 7. Fairmont was driving with just under 8 min to go just past midfield. 1st down and they decided to throw the ball for the first time of the game.... and then they did it again on 3rd down.

Why? I have no clue. All they had to do was eat most of the clock down and go up 14 to 7 and get the ball to start the 2nd half and have another 10min drive.

But lucky for Wayne, they decided to throw the ball.

Oof. Sounds like the last Wayne fairmont playoff game. Your rb was killing it and they went pass. Oh well that’s why they play the game.
 
OHSSA has released locations for the Wayne and Centerville regional semi-final games:
5. Hilliard Davidson (8-4) vs. 8. Huber Heights Wayne (7-5) at Miami Trace High School Tony’s Welding and Fabrication Stadium
2. Centerville (9-3) vs. 14. Dublin Coffman (4-8) at Springfield High School Wildcat Stadium

Higher seeds are the home team. I think ticket prices are $11 adults, $5 students.

Northmont always has athletes and seems to be an attractive job, but as one of the smallest D1 schools who will want to take it over? Do they have the ability to do a bigger regional/national search or do they bring a local guy? Burgbacher at Tipp, Graham from T-Wood, If a Northmont fan who do you want?

They should go after Springfield DC and Former OC’s. They will turn that program into a contender in R2
 
Wayne/Fairmont after thoughts

This game came down to 4th downs. Both teams went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory. Wayne had a 4th and 3 on their own 27 down 7-0. They were able to convert it as well as another one on the drive leading to a TD that tied the game. Fairmont had a 3rd and short and were stuffed. Went for it on 4th and less than a yard and did not get the first down. Wayne would shortly score to take the lead in the 3rd.

With just over 2 minutes to go in the 2nd with the game tied and Fairmont around midfield they decided to throw the ball..... Why? Even (sorry, got to rant.... these goddamn adds are driving me crazy I cannot continue posting on here until Yappi cleans this up....)

you know how it is now a days. the school will let you say retired or resigned but it was forced. i would pick up my kid at practice at 5 pm bcuz the head coach was also coaching his sons middle school team so he had to get to that practice.
