GWOC 2024

now that the team i cheer for is out im excited to follow the remaining gwoc teams. springboro centreville should be interesting as it rumored it could be wilhites last year before he becomes a athletic director (mayb at centreville)
Rumored huh? Who do you think would take over there?

As God is my witness, SHS will pound the s*** out of Wayne in the playoffs ... again ...

God can't witness a match-up that won't happen....

What a moron.

He had a hell of a recruiting run. Maybe he will match it again and surprise you next year. Like someone said above he is probably lighting up the dms as we speak.
Naw it’s over. And he probably is going to recruit heavy but he still needs a coaching staff. His staff went backwards this season.

My playoff picks are Middletown upsetting Wayne and Fairmont. Otherwise, the seeds will hold up. Then, in regional semis, Springfield over Middletown, Galloway Westland over Centerville. Springfield over Galloway Westland in 4 OTs...
Couldn’t be much further off if you tried

What about your staff?? In the past 5 years, SHS has 8 playoff trophies, the most of any D1 program in Ohio. What has your s*** produced in the past 30 years?? Dont you think your school desperately needs your energy and attention???

Middletown/Wayne

The ugly..... only about 1000 home fans for this playoff game. A far cry of the 5000 Wayne got under Minton. The fans were pretty hostile as well. Some at each other, others at Wayne coaching and play calling, but mostly at the Middies coaches who were very vocal in the press box.

Wayne would open the scoring on a pick 6 and of course they do some trick play for a 2 point conversion which is actually very successful over the season. It looked like Wayne was going up 15-0 following a punt return but some mystery running into the kicker penalty materialized. Wayne's offense was stagnant. Snap the ball, QB runs around and ends up throwing it away, running for little gain, or running out of bounds for a loss. Would Wayne adjust? No, never did.... never brought in a 2nd back to help protect, never tried a HB screen, so this continued all night and is the reason why Wayne would only end up with 76 yards passing.

The 2nd qtr the Middletown QB got hot throwing and running the ball. Taking advantage of 2 Wayne turnovers Mtown would score 3 TD's in the qtr to put Mtown up 20-11 at the half. The 2nd half Mtown would not be able to do anything...... Wayne had opportunities in the 3rd but could not finish drives. Turnover, missed FG and it remained 20-11 until a late score in the 3rd closed it to a 20-18 score.

4th qtr was more of the same until the Wayne crowd got fed up with the QB running for his life and screams of run the ball started. Someone listened because Wayne started to run it more with both Thompson and Lewis making gains. Lewis would then hit a huge 4th down pass to keep the drive going that would end with a Thompson 7 yard run with 45 seconds left. 2 point conversion good and Wayne wins 26-20.

The officiating in this game was inconsistent and got frustrating at times. Especially when a team that is trailing loses time off the clock because the official keeps the clock running even though the player ran out of bounds without being touched. Late hit called on one team but the other team gets away with 2 to 3 of them that were worse........

Wayne survived but they got to work on protecting the QB..... Defense won the game for Wayne and they will need to come up big against Fairmont next week.

The bad thing about it was Middletown was getting pressure with only rushing 3 me at of the time. Wayne trying to throw deeper passes instead of throwing quicker slants or screen or trying to get the run game going. The coaching staff is just not good. Wayne attendance has been going down every year since Minton got screwed.

He’s already started recruiting heavily. Before the last game he had made 3 contacts with Catholic Central 8 grade players.

Actually they do. 😂😂 but don’t be big mad cause I told you so. You didn’t want to listen now look at you. Get ready for basketball season.

Surprised Schneider had that short of a leash after turning that program all the way around...can't believe they threw him out that fast.

For Miamisburg to fire Schneider that quick you gotta believe the AD has already spoken too/lined up his guy. I think it’s either Bonifay or Muncy.

Does Springboro have a chance Friday against Centerville? Looking like region 2 belongs to the GWOC for the fourth straight year I believe.

Any confirmation on Schneider being let go, not sure where the poster received his information.

Centerville/Springboro: stats from their matchup in week 9 show the Elks turned back the clock and ran all over them, Springboro was held to 0.6/yds per attempt rushing. Elks even had the only turnover and more yards in penalties. Obviously the Time of Possession is a misprint. I see the result being something similar to 28-10 2 weeks ago.

Different Story with Fairmont/Wayne. Wayne was without their stud QB for their first match up, Fairmont likely without theirs in the rematch. Pressure on Fairmont to play some really good football in order to advance.

Springboro @ Centerville : Low scoring game? I think so which will make mistakes be very costly. Elks are at home which will give them the edge.... Elks win 20-10

Wayne @ Fairmont : Wayne was missing more than just the QB the last time they met which should make a huge difference in the rematch. Birds scored on every possession last meeting this time they won't be as efficient.... Wayne was able to score 22 without the QB last time and now he is back the offense should be able to score more on the Birds defense. This game seems to be swinging towards Wayne assuming the turnover battle is even. If Wayne holds onto the ball they will win this game... depending on the turnover it could be Fairmont with the win.... I'm going with a Wayne win 30-24.

I am liking Fairmont chances a little more. I think there is one thing we can agree on is that Springfield won't win tonight.
