Badin @ CJ was called after 3 due to rain. It was 0-0 and both starters were dealing, considering the elements. No word on when this will be made up.

Gamechanger says Hoagland and Niehaus. Why would CJ go back to Joyce? Badin gonna have to make the trip up again.

Hoagland, who had surrendered two hits and two walks with 7Ks through 3 was going against Niehaus, who surrendered 4 hits, 0 walks and 2Ks through 3.

How did they lose?
Fenwick scored 1 in top of 8th to take the lead. Leadoff hitter for McNick reached on a dropped third strike. Then there was a walk, HBP, walk. Next hitter went 3-2 and got hit in the head to score the winning run.
Wow! Tough beat for the Falcons.

Not sure if IBB is ever the right move in high school baseball unless you have a college level prospect on the mound with 0 outs.

With 0 outs it isn’t the right move. With 1 out it is the right move. Unless it was “their” guy at the plate.

Sophomore Kramer had another outstanding performance going 6 innings with 10 Ks. Hoagland ended with 11 Ks. Both pitchers threw over 100 pitches.

Would have to think Grandstaff or Shouse for Fenwick and Driessen or Niehaus for Badin (unless Treadway thinks that he doesn't need to use his 1 or 2 on Fenwick

Grandstaff left the game in the middle of the 4th in what looked like a possible injury. If anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it. Hopefully he is OK.
