Uncharacteristic 5 errors in their first two games. They will clean that up. They definitely knew what they were getting themselves into. With their season just starting and Florida nearly done, I think they've shown pretty well so far. Two more to go.

My son played down in Fla for his "Spring Training" when he played for this Illinois JUCO and I talked to some High school players because one of the games was at a high school field. I got the low down on the high school schedule. Their tryouts are around MLK day and they start playing games in early to mid Feb. They play the season through April. Then the tourney. They abide by the 26 game rule but they play just 2 to 3 games a week and have a ton of practice. Basically, their season is half again as long as ours and obviously warmer weather. Again, they practice a lot. We are just not set up that way up here. Having said all that, it is nice to see Badin being very competitive.
 
The ball players in Fla are just on a different level. Defensively they can play. All run well. All throw well.

That could easily be two more losses for the Falcons. Did Hamilton's coach leave Fenwick on good terms or will there be bad blood in this game?

I saw in an article when he was hired a year back that he said it was the only job he would've left for. I'd assume the only bad blood was that they had no coaches left since he took his assistant with him that was at Hamilton with him prior and left Goodale.

Fenwick struggles to keep coaches. Watched Hamilton play X at REDS RBI (a whole another issue) and Hamilton was solid and pretty much fundamentally sound.

I doubt there was bad blood, had one of the few winning records that Fenwick has had recently.
I noticed that the Blue play a very formidable non league schedule.

1-2, play at IMG Friday night.
 
Badin falls 8-6 to IMG friday night. They had bases loaded with 1 out in the top of the 7th and couldn't push runners across the plate.

Their record finishes 1-3 in Florida. They competed in every game, and they should return better for the experience. Hopefully that's true, as they return to CJ Monday and Tuesday, 5 games over 6 days this upcoming week.

Complete game, 3 hit shutout for Driessen. Sullivan allowed 4 hits and CJ committed one error. Bowling hit his 2nd HR of the year and the Rams take the first game of the home and home.

Niehaus is the projected starter for Wednesday and can only assume he will duel with Hoagland.
