Cleveland Browns 2024 Edition

Returns 10/8/24 ?

Retro, right ? We be Criminoles II, Norf, if Jameis has to sub in
No, they way I read & understand it Hall
has been on the Commissioner’s Exempt list and has been paid for the 4 games this season.

Hall was suspended today without pay for the next 5 games and will be eligible to play in week 10. However, Cleveland is on their bye in week 10 thus Browns fans will not see Hall in uniform until week 11 on November 17th at New Orleans.

Be that as it may, the Cleveland Browns are in a quarterbacking situation that looks to be approaching a decision point. Deshaun Watson, as colleague Matt Verderame outlined in a recent film breakdown, is increasingly hesitant to respond to openings provided via the offense. He’s taking an astronomical number of sacks (16), more than any other quarterback in the NFL heading into Week 4, and his ability to extend plays has been showcased inconsistently.

It's all too obvious that Watson will NEVER be successful on a Stefanski team, because he doesn't fit the " system. This goes for any other qb who thrives in a freestyle system. Stefanski is stubborn in running the Minnesota offense, and look who they had - Cousins and now Darnold, who has been resurrected from the joke heap to play at All-Pro levels. It's the system. Dorsey was brought in to resurrect the offense built around Watson. But who is calling the plays? What have been the results? One of the worst offenses in the league, dysfunctional, confused, and undisciplined.

While offensive line injuries have shouldered some of the blame, fans and pundits alike are pointing their attention to the Browns’ $230 million quarterback as the reason Cleveland’s offense has struggled thus far.

Former coach Gregg Williams is no exception. On the “Come Get Some” podcast this week, neither Williams nor his co-hosts held back their fiery thoughts and comments on Watson (via X). “Grown men inside the white lines know when people aren’t doing what they’re supposed to do,” Williams said, adding, “It’s time to drop it; it’s time to get after it; it’s time to do your job and watch all of us win when you do your job, and the ball starts with you.”

If the Browns lose this week to Washington and fall to 1-4, I think this would be a good move for both the Browns & KC; maybe Cooper for a 3rd or 4th rounder. Cleveland needs the pick to get younger and cheaper talent as they have Watson’s contract hanging over their heads for two more seasons and it will allow them to see if Jeudy and/or Moore can play.

QBR
Looking at only passer rating is like only looking at run blocking or pass blocking for a lineman. Or looking only at yards per catch for a receiver who only made three catches in a whole year.
maybe there is a stat for how well a QB performs a hand off to a back. any way you slice it , it still doesn't change the fact that Mayfield was the weakest link of that offense

Garrett eats Daniel's for lunch and the rookie is welcomed to the NFL and exposed as a fraud.

Browns.

Big.

The 1-31 offense was more exciting than this.

"Hey Njoku is active, he'll make a difference!"

I think they've targeted him once.
