Cleveland Browns 2024 Edition

bottom line Jackson and Allen are on a totally different level than Mayfield. As a starter Jackson is 60-21 , Allen is 66-30 , and Mayfield is a woeful 43-47

I’m be has to ask themselves, what would Jackson & Allen be if they were drafted by the Browns instead of Mayfield? Both QB’s are far more physically skilled than Baker but no way would they be as good as they are today if the Browns had taken them with the 1st pick.

Baker, he is what he is - a top 12 thru 22 NFL starting qb. He’s good but limited. Maybe if he went to a GB and sat for a couple of years he couple have matured into a good player but he seems to be the type who needed to go thru the difficult journey and learn the hard way to figure it out. Regardless, he just not good enough to win a Super Bowl but he’s good enough to play winning football with.

Mayfield was the first overall pick in a draft with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson , that is a huge swing and miss
He was viewed to be the least risky #1 option that draft, the highest basement. Injury aside, he's been exactly that. To say, today, that a team with all its draft picks couldn't win a Super Bowl w/ mature Mayfield now would be patently absurd.

General consensus on Lemur was "become a WR". Allen had damaged knees and a 53% completion rate to go with his big arm. Both guys could have easily washed out with lesser coaching, and there is a lot of lesser QB coaching/OC than what developed both men. Cleveland coaching included.

You're pretty stupid on football, too, I now see. Can you shlep your azs back to the Yinzer thread ?

Uh, time will tell. Only Mahomes has eclipsed him in college. He's not that limited.

This line^ is plainly stupid. Without question.

wrong dumb schitt Mayfield was viewed as one of the many qb's that put up big numbers in oklahoma's sytem but just shorter. maybe in your alternate world you seen Jackson as WR, but what do you know, after allin your defense of the browns o-line you were bragging about how PFF gave the browns line rave reviews. well guess what the NFL doesn't play their games on paper. go change your diaper grand daddy

this is not necessarily true , when mayfield was with the browns , he was the worst player starting on the offensive side of the ball

That’s a bit harsh, Baker was playing hurt. Was his performance the worse, maybe but I don’t think he was their worse players. But, I’ll leave that discussion to Browns fans.

bottom line Jackson is better than mayfield , that is a fact that can't be disputed
No one has disputed it. I disputed other idiotic assertions you had made, Gold Don. Lamar never threw the ball as consistently as he does now. As I said, he was coached up, and he worked hard.

Henry was a perfect add when you consider who's needed to defend Lamar's legs. We'll see if LJ can score second half all year long, and finally win enough to get over .500 in playoff games.

other than you

so it was the head coach's fault that Mayfield was worst and least talented player starting on the offensive side of the ball. got it.
For letting him play hurt and sail balls because his rotational delivery was wrecked by his brace ? Yes, idiot. He should not have been started at all.

If you go with statistics based upon the history of the "new" Browns, there's a very high probability that the Browns would have gotten killed any QB they drafted or brought on.
