2025 Elder Football

And all of this is relative to College. If you're a 3*, that puts you above 99.999% of all HS Football players.
We took team with 14 3 star to Ot.. should won. West supposed had 2 four stars and they both were pancaked more than they had tackles vs us.
1.25 hs football players get a scholarship to play d1 football

Let's take a look at the top 5 teams Blue Chip Ratio ( % of 4 & 5*)

Oregon- 76%
Texas- 72%
Georgia- 80%
Penn State- 61% (2022 Top 5 class)
ND- 67%

It's almost like stacking high level talent on top of high level talent leads to winning at a high level.
lol.. now.. look at those from those schools that transferred after freshman yr.. and where to. Then look at this yr portal kids that are freshman.. the number and where they transfer to. Eli Lee from Hoban ran a 5.0 forty at best of Midwest camp. He will never play at Ostate. Hicks is highest lb Ostate ever had.. he doesn’t play. Powers was a 4⭐️.. he is transferring! Those ranking from on3 rivals. Means nothing!

And what happened? Their big time players made plays to win the game. Riverdale would’ve won that game easily if they had any kind of discipline. How many penalty yards did they have? Over 200?

If Elder had 1 more P4 athlete, that would be huge. That’s like having another player of Uran’s caliber.

Kenneth Grant, Mason Graham, Donovan Edwards + Colson Loveland & Will Johnson who didn't play. Those are 5 high round draft picks.
Edwards graham and grant only played… now.. look at OState off and def.
Just out of curiosity..name thier players o and d getting draft? I’m two tb.. all wrs.. that 6-6.. they played! Not to mention de’s and lb… let’s see Omar.. baseball guy

I guess Jeremiah Smith isn’t a 5*? Caleb Downs? And the point is these teams stack 4 & 5* in the aggregate. One recruit not panning isn’t a big deal. Frankly, most schools expect at least 1/3 of each class to bust or transfer.

For Michigan? I don’t know after the 5 listed. I do know, they had 15 drafted last yr.

And it’s not my fault you don’t know who Omar Vizquel is.

Who told you that? That’s why you should stick with soccer, swimming or baseball! These coaches.. Purdue, wvu, Ryan day.. soon to be so many others our judges by talent they get and what they produce.. not what they stack! Which is why they get fired after 2 yrs…
That is a stupid assumption and based on 0 knowledge

That’s the historical trend, it might even be more in the portal era. It was usually 1/3 of the class hits and are multi yr starters, 1/3 productive playing on STs or as backups and 1/3 bust or transfer. That’s why the programs that consistently win at a high level, stack talent. They don’t have one top 5 class, then settle for a 20th ranked class the next year.

Purdue & WV are notoriously s**tty jobs. Neither have the resources or alumni base to compete over the long term. No shock, they have very low blue chip ratios.

10 yrs ago.. when you couldn’t transfer up or stay the same cause you lose a yr. Last 10 yrs it changed.. still doesn’t solidify your statement and still wrong! In football.. teams that are gritty win more than not.. high school same. Arnold and Boeing we lose once and beat west… beat x.. play Moeller! We finished 2nd in gcl with not good defensive scheme for three yrs…

The Portal isn’t 10 yrs old. And guys still transferred even if it meant losing eligibility.

lol,. You define it
It’s bulls**t, that’s how you define it. It means nothing, it’s just a coping mechanism less talented teams use to try to trick themselves into thinking they can beat more talented teams.

Can't blame this one on Omar.
To clarify, if a HS player isn’t ranked, that doesn’t mean they can’t be a great HS player. It’s just the ceiling of a P4 recruit is (usually) higher and can have a larger impact. However, we always see really good players go to the Ivy League, service academies or MAC schools.
