This was nothing like the Green game. Except the head scratching loss.
That game was full of mistakes our team uncharacteristically made and a lot of very questionable calls.

This year we knew our problems and they were just amplified last Friday.

At the end of the day there is nothing anybody can do but learn from it.

The team was heartbroken, the coaches were heartbroken but this is football, Massillon football, the heat is intense here.
Next up 2025

I heard the booster club meeting got cancelled, but he'll be speaking at the Touchdown Club.

Nate cancelled booster club meeting because Becca's sister and 3 others were in a serious auto accident which resulted in a broken neck and other injuries, surgery was on Monday . They are on the mend.

He did speak at the Touchdown Club on Tuesday where Big Mike got the annual Bob Commings Hard Nose Award.

Massillon it lucky to have the Moores in the community .

Happy Thanksgiving to the Massillon group here. I know it was frustrating end to the year, but the whole state of Ohio knows you’ll be back next year! Correct some problems, just like St. Ed’s needs to do and let’s keep the series going. The whole state of Ohio looks forward to this game, much more than others.

I’m hoping for a rematch with Moeller as well as Avon / Massillon next year.

Not too bad tbh
Seen we are 48th in HSFA I just hope we stay in maxpreps top 100 and HSFA top50
Not sure where he got that composite at #95 because max preps usually has us the lowest of any and if we are 48th in the one you said and 69th in preps I dont see the others having us in the 90 some range to get a composite of 95

As soon as you forget national rankings, the better off you’ll be. I’ve seen Ed’s ranked numerous times only to lose but still win a state championship. National rankings aren’t the same as 20 years ago.
Oh it's nice to be ranked but I personally don't make a issue of it I just said it for JW who is big on it

Calpreps has Massillon at 186. I have always liked Calpreps the best and they have typically regarded Ohio football highly with their algorithm, but since Ohio moved to the 16 team per region playoffs the Ohio schools usually drop pretty far due to having to play two or three low ranked teams in the early playoff rounds. This year is especially bad with Moeller being the top ranked Ohio team around #40 with Avon and Hoban next at #67 and #68. That is unusually low for the top three Ohio schools.

Strange they are using only 3 outlets out of 8 to get a composite ranking. Cal preps is out of their mind max preps has cocoa top 50 and cal preps has them 200 lol come on. Don't matter Massillon don't deserve to be ranked nationally anyways they are 0-2 against national competition this year

Calpreps is smoking crack when one ranking has a team # 50 and they have them #200

I’ve always felt Maxpreps was garbage. In the past they would have missing or incorrect scores in football and basketball, so I’m not sure how they get their data but it’s led me not to trust their accuracy. At least with Calpreps you see every team and score, which makes it easier to trust in my opinion. Not sure about Cocoa. I’ll have to look.

I didn't follow it alot this year but last year I notice that MaxPreps usually had Massillon lower than the others. Calpreps just seems this year they have teams way lower than the other publications. Usually these rankings are in a couple spots of each other not 100 spots or more difference

Cocoa is #227 in Calpreps. They have no wins over a top 1000 team and they are 8-3. Massillon has three wins over top 800 teams. No way Cocoa should be ranked above the Tigers and definitely not Top 50, imo.

I can tell you this is a terrible year for Ohio football as judged by Calpreps. Ohio usually does well with them. I’m pretty sure Massillon was top 20 in Calpreps final rankings last year. Quite honestly, my eyes tell me this is not a great year for football in Ohio.

Not a great year and yeah 20 was low for Massillon last year the lowest I seen was MaxPreps at 10 I think Massillon had a composite of 7 or 8 last year with all the rankings

Prolly not but I do know Cocoa was top 10 I thought at some point this year and Massillon was never higher than 26th according to preps that is

With me MaxPreps makes more sense with Massillon than calpreps. MaxPreps has Massillon 69th and I can see at least 68 teams being better than Massillon across the nation however with calpreps at #185 NO way do I see close to 184 teams better than Massillon

HSFA 48
Maxpreps 69
Calpreps 186 (other post is off by one)
Sblive? (Only top 25 I know of)
SC Next ? (Only top 25 I know of)
Blue streak? (Can’t find it)
HSFB ? (Only top 25 I know of)
Massey 283 (no idea who these guys are but included in the other guys post)

Idk what they use for the rankings not posted but it most be generous to have us in the 90s in composite rankings

The 4 I found avg out to 373.75 😂

I agree. Usually I see 3 different entities ranking teams max preps, USA today and prep nation. I am sure there are others. Like you I've noticed these rankings are very similar. If one has a team 11 then the other 2 will have them 13 and 9 or something similar to that.
