2010 NBC softball

I like to call this "Clueless Parents"

You have three posts . Im sure everyone on here is clueless,I myself have been coaching for 12 years and alot of parents are a pain . But most of the good ones are far from clueless, at least from what I have seen . If someone does a bad job coaching, alot of tallent and someone calls them out the other person always says there a bad parent . But like everything in life everyone has there own view . Good luck to all the teams from the area in the tournament .

Good luck to all the NBC teams still in tournament play.
Elyse Brigham and Tara Lawson, the two seniors for Minerva, both four year starters. They both had a good year on a team that had a rough year. Congrats to you both as they will be playing in college - Brigham-softball and Lawson-volleyball.

Elyse and Tara exemplify senior leadership both on and off the field of play. Two very good examples for the underclassman albeit in a dismal softball season.

Flannigan has a nasty change-up, that's why she's doing so well.

Louisville 11-0 over GlenOak...I know Hoover is state champion caliber, but Louisville could give them a run for their money. I mean people were saying how GlenOak would beat us and it was 11-0 (including us leaving the bases loaded with 0 outs in the first and not scoring, so it could have easily been over in 5). 2 Hoover players were at the Louisville game today, they are serious about sweepers and softball over their in North Canton.

A few of the Louisville kids were at the Hoover-Boardman game Saturday night too.... I think it has as much to do with relationships built in summer travel ball as it does sizing up their opponent (though I'm sure it's a little of both :) ). Both games at Genshaft Wednesday should be a lot of fun. Two Fed against two of the best from other leagues. IMHO, the Fed teams SHOULD win both but anything can happen over there

I agree about the travel ball players relationships.

On a side note, is "Community Park" the new name for Genshaft? Or are these games somewhere else now? I know there was some talk of Genshaft being taken over but I was under the impression the fields were still there/playable. If they are there, it looks like they're playing on side by side fields this year instead of opposite.

I believe they are not the same place.

Division I Massillon District Semifinals:
Hoover 4, Louisville 0, F
Perry 4, Green 0, F

Hoover scored 3 in the first and 1 in the third. Louisville had runners on 3rd in like 3 innings, and even 2nd and 3rd 1 out one inning, but just couldn't bring anyone home. Hoover's Ashley Hall had a great pitching performance. Good news for Louisville is their pitcher Flanigan is only a sophmore and they are only graduating two players: Brandi Mash and Desi Givens.

Desi is a junior, 1st Base Emily Lemmon is the other senior graduating so yes, almost the whole team will be back next year, plus more fresh faces.

Lady Leps - next time don't get the jitters the first inning, you can knock those NC girls off. Some outfield errors by Louisville - something to work on for next year.

Lady Leopards have senior night vs Northwest Thursday I believe, beginning at 4:15 p.m.

North Canton has an excellent ball club.

Louisville actually outhit North Canton 5 to 4 - info from a parent at the game.

Errors cost the Lady Leopards.

Here is the box score from cantonrep.com:

Different stats from the Rep -

typical - even in pro baseball teams play with stats; changing errors to hits.

The Rep's stats are probably more correct than what I received, but the truth may be somewhere in between.

Lady Leopards blank Northwest 10-0

Flanigan pitches no-hitter, 1 walk.

By the way, in regards to the previous post concerning stats in the Rep:

I've seen them not only get the score and stats wrong, but sometimes even get the teams who played against each other wrong in the boxscores.
