2010 NBC softball

I agree go watch games, how about everyone starts talking about the everyong in the NBC just not Canton South this is an NBC thread after all!

It sounds to me like a couple of people have a problem with these players taking playing time away from their kids, and knowing the talent level of these seniors the coach is justified in playing them over someone who was there last year. There is competition in sports and the last time I checked they keep score so a coach will more than likely play the best nine to compete. I would also like to mention that I coached against Karen Clapper in the youth league as well and have as much respect for her as I do David Greene.

Canton south lost to Marlington. Gorman is a great player must run in the family her brother was a monster to and a class act . South is not a good team or coached very well Alliance and the leps will be the teams to beat .
 
Flanigan homered over the center field fence for LHS vs Minerva. Not sure she pitched though, anyone know?
 
Flanigan homered Tuesday versus West Branch. There were no home runs hit tonight in the Louisville-Minerva game. Flanigan pitched the final three innings.
 
Thanks for the update, maybe I got my games mixed up, but I know a couple players and maybe misheard from them about the homerun earlier this evening.

So Carly started I assume.

South jumped out to a 3-0 lead and were winning, 5-4, going into the bottom of the 5th, changed pitchers and ended up losing in an extra inning. Marlington did not dominate the game. Very nice job for a first year team and coach. :-) Gorman is a very nice player too.

No one said they dominated them please don't put words in my mouth .I watch alot of softball and I said what I thought you know this is still a place we can do that ........ South is not a good team and he is not a good coach Im sure there all great people but Im talking softball . Please just wait till you play Alliance and louis. Then put words in my mouth Thanks

Do you people join just to talk about yourself the only posts you have since you joined is to take up for canton south we all get it . People talk about all sports its nothing about what kind of people they are its about how they are doing in that sport . I play golf alot Im terrible that don't make me a bad guy .Greene may be a bad coach and a great guy ? On a good note the jv team is unbeaten anyway great game Marlington .
 
South played Garaway and won the first one and turned around and got mercied the second one. They haven't played anyone it's going to be rough!

No one put words in your mouth. And it's not all about winning the NBC. CS is a young team. Cut them some slack.

You hate CS already...we get it. And certainly didn't join to bash young student-athletes and particular softball programs. You have a player on the CS JV team?

Young your 3rd baseman shortstop 2nd baseman are sen . 1st and both pitchers our jun as far as I know the catcher is the only soph and there are a couple sen that play outfield . Your funny

Your one of the oldest teams in the NBC you have a junior or senior at every spot but catcher are you for real . If its not about winning why do they keep score . You guys have a great basketball coach all im saying is if you had a good softball coach things might be different .

This is a softball thread, why else would people post here! It's not to talk about all sports. The purpose is to talk the game, not disrepect individual players and coaches. It is obvious you don't like South. If your favorite team is Marlington why not talk about them? Why should you care about the quality of South's coach!?...... Speaking of talking, maybe you should have gone to Canton South. You might have learned better grammar. Your run-on sentences make very little sense.

Ok I will work on my grammar and its not that I don't like South . I don't like what I see in the coaching .... I think coaching is a part of the game

If you're going to post about South, get your facts straight. Two players on the current team played last year together. The rest of the team is new, regardless what grades they are in. Several are returning to the game after three or more years out for various reasons. The starting pitcher never thought she'd play again after tearing a ligament in her right hand before her freshman season started. The team never played together before their first scrimmage, although the majority of the players between varsity and JV have years of travel ball experience. The Board declined to renew the previous coach's contract last fall and had to fill the position, so the team had no opportunity to play indoor with each other over the winter like they will this summer and winter. Regardless your personal bone to pick with a school, an AD, a coach, someone posting on this thread, the continuous attacking is just uncalled for. And absolutely no student athlete should be criticized the way it has been done here.

Stop crying everyone thinks south has tallent its the coach everyone I talk to has a problem with . Its the first time alot of the girls played together on alot of these teams its the coaches job to make things come together. If its the first time they played in years why they on the varcity ? Im done with CS comments good luck to all the teams in the NBC ...

What ever you do don't say what you think . Your gonna end up a dumb farmer like me ok here is something good about south . The JV beat us last week and had some real nice players on it . Do you think it will be Alliance or LOuisville that win the nbc ? Alliance looked good when I saw them .
 
I think Louisville will take it again this year. Alliance is strong defensively but they're not the strongest offensively! Louisville isn't to strong offensively either. Just live off the plate with both teams. Lay off the junk and the Leapords are definately beatable, Flanagain livessss on the Rise ball and outside corner!

Im not sure but Alliance looked good . I think its going to be a good game to watch .
 
Lady Leps blank Marlington 11-0 in 5. 3-run jack by Chandler Rice. She can really rock 'em. Two homeruns on the day, 5 rbi's.

Flanigan on the mound, pitched a 1-hitter, and had three hits. Isla jacked one out also.

Rice is a real nice player some of these teams are in for a shock when they see some of the top travel kids . Also she is only a freshman ...
