Who is all injured for ML besides Otte? Will Otte get back to form this year?Unfortunately, both teams are.

What is the typical sponsor feeYes, every 50/50 has a sponsor.
Ryan Homan at safety, maybe plays this week but likely doubtful, Benton Seitz linebacker out for the rest of the year. Otte should return sometime at the end of the year maybe playoffs.Who is all injured for ML besides Otte? Will Otte get back to form this year?
Don’t quote me, I think $1,500.What is the typical sponsor fee
We'll see.Thumbs up. Magic. Got it.
It is not these well-fed long-haired men that I fear, but the pale and hungry-looking. Julius Ceasar.I'm sort of surprised at all the folks who are predicting/dreading/thinking a Versailles victory. Yes, they are strong, but so is ML. They have some amazing playmakers, but so does ML. I tend to think in a linear fashion, gathering what I see to be evidence from other games. Lots of doubts/fears about the Wapak game--no problem. Same about New Bremen--no problem. Chatter surrounding the Minster game was chilling--and, no problem. Yep, I know V is likely stronger than those-- but unless they are 200% stronger, ML handles them. No problem. I just feel the Flyers will have a slugfest with V, as usual, but they will not be beat. Quoting another poster here: "Even if it looks bad for ML, never, ever bet against them." The reason? They have magic, folks. Magic. (And yall know what that is...)
Great quote. We’ll see just how hungry the Tigers are. I think this is a big measuring game for Jones. Last year ML was more talented. But two years ago Goodwin out coached him. I’d assume Goodwin will attack defensively the same way.It is not these well-fed long-haired men that I fear, but the pale and hungry-looking. Julius Ceasar.
Players still got to make the plays. Versailles is capable of big plays, score rapidly on offense while very capable of playing take away on D.Great quote. We’ll see just how hungry the Tigers are. Hi Coldwater kid.Tigers win this one easier than y all think.
So let it be written, so it shall be done.
'Till the last shots fired.

HahaI don't have a Versailles roster but I am taking a guess that V has close to 20 srs. vs ML's 12. That is a big difference, most of ML's starters this year were playing JV last year while many of Versailles starters this year were playing varsity last year big advantage in experience to Versailles. Can the Flyers pull off a huge upset maybe, possibly, that's why they play the game, I guess.
Marion Local defeated Versailles and veteran Al Hetrick in Goodwins 1st 4 years as HC (memory may be wrong) I am not sure how much coaching experience plays into winning games. Like I posted V is due this is the Tigers year.Haha
Versailles has 18 seniors. 11 got their varsity letter last year and maybe 6 of those were full time starters.
jones in his 5th season at Versailles vs Goodwin in his 24th.
I hope the Tigers can pull off the upset.
Really I say V is due because they have the talent and coaching to match up with Marion Local plus 2020 and 2021 games between ML and V could have gone either way.All fun and games and ribbing at Stirred: but since Versailles is apparently due for a win against Marion after 10 years, can we use that same logic to say Fort Recovery should beat Marion this year? I mean they are 0fer against ML in their history. Sounds like they're due next
Yes my brother ML grad and Russia teacher at the time lost a bet and had to wear a Versailles hat in school for a week.Goodwin's Flyers did, in fact, beat Hetrick's Tigers in each of Goodwin's first four seasons as a head coach. The fifth meeting, however, was a 37-0 score in favor of Versailles in 2003 at Hole Field.
That V team went on to win the D-IV title, defeating Villa St. Angelou (sp?) in the title game after ML lost to Columbus Grove earlier in the day in the D-VI championship.
Yeah but we lost the Freshman game on Monday. Maybe that's because my nephew plays for V-Town.It appears ML cabinet is still full of size and talent. Jr. High bested Versailles in both 7 and 8 grade last night.
Folks, I’m old. The excitement of games like this one still give me goose bumps and wishes I could play one more time, but, I suppose that’s why we all spend time on this board… to relive our past. Theses young men need to realize it doesn’t get any better than their few Friday nights.Yeah but we lost the Freshman game on Monday. Maybe that's because my nephew plays for V-Town.
Well it is game day and I am ready for a great matchup. Hoping for a great game and yearlong bragging rights for the winner.
GO FLYERS!!!!!!
