How many play football? tentative cutoff for the new div1, is around 642.
I think there might be some problems with these figures;
ex: Kings goes from 461 to 706?
Amelia 483 to 721?
Colerain 811 -1202?
Northwest[Hamilton County] 410-653?
Say hello to D-2 Canton McKinley.
Say hello to D-2 Canton McKinley.
Competitive Balance Enrollment Numbers (if decided) will move schools up and down - but McKinley looks to be a lock for D-2 either way.
possible cutoff's
Div1 642+
Div2 427-641
Div3 306-426
Div4 238-305
Div5 175-237
Div6 127-174
Div7 0-126
McKinley is NOT open enrollment.Doubt it. The open enrollment will push both McKinley and Massillon up to D1.

Berea and Midpark are combining into what will surely be a D1 school. Pending adjustments, that would make Hoover the largest D2.Hoover lands the last spot for D-1 (top 72 schools in the state)
IF competitive balance passes, which includes open enrollment, it won't go into affect until 2015.
I didn't realize Boardman's numbers we're going to drop that much, they lost like 60 males.

Looks like the Fed just became a D2 league.

I thought it was a fair possibility Boardman could fall below the D-1 cutoff. Looking online at their class by class enrollment figures the had some smaller classes right now, but I'm guessing it will go back up to the 600+ area in the future.
the CB proposal may pass and eventually change almost all teams' numbers, and the above cutoffs are very preliminary, it's interesting to see where the new divisions will place teams.
In addition, South Range's open enrollment policy is ONLY for elementary school, so there is not going to be a big influx of students coming into SR. Sure they may change that in the future, but for now it is only at the elementary level.I don't think South Range is going to be taking lots of kids from Boardman, at least when I was in school, there was absolutely nothing in terms of course offerings or extracurriculars that would entice students to head out that way. South Range is desperate for money and is trying to get kids from Canfield, Boardman, etc to go there but I don't think that will work out for them.
The CB wouldn't become effective until the 2015/2016 season if it passes.
