Fairfield Div I Rankings

My post was questioning why he was no longer in Danimal Dan's rankings at 189lb.

Dan?

Jake Suess was added based on his recent results and how good he looked vs. Oak Hills. Thornberry was put into place 6 based on his experience level and results at Ironman. He lost round 1 to Wilken from Monroeville 4-1. He beat his conso opponent 2-1, then lost to Orlandi from Blair 4-1. I think he is good, but at this point in the season I dont have him in the top 5. This weekend he could prove me wrong with a high finish at Glenn Sample.

High enough, eh?

Not sure if Campbell (H) beats Stevens a 2nd time.Selmon may need to go to 125 to get out? 145 doesn't seem to have much depth.I think Blum is the 2nd or 3rd best at 152.Hall already beat Bryant at 160 and Bryant will be at 152 most likley?Korb should be at 171 come febuary.

Danimal,

Just FYI, Goudy, Wayne at 171's first name is Tyler and he's a junior. Thanks for the time put into these.

Moeller has two 125's qualify? And I don't think Ward beats Campbell. He ran from Meyers at the Classic and still took 2nd.

They do have two guys in the top 6 at 125, but I think Ziegler moves up to 130 at tournament time...meant to make that change. Ward will definitely go 125.

Danimal Dan . . . many thanks for posting the wrestlers class ranking - appreciate the help. Since your an Elder guy . . . How do you see a dual between Elder & Moe breaking down? I'd like to hear your opinion . . .

Well, this is obviously PURE SPECULATION....final line ups may vary (ie. Walsh has not made weight at 112 yet; 160 for Elder is not settled, etc.) and we don't know if any injuries or other issues may arise.

But based on what I know at this point, here is a scenario in which my Panthers are able to defeat Moeller in a dual despite finishing well behind them in tournaments they both wrestle (Coaches Classic, CIT).

May the further speculation now begin....should be a great match regardless of the outcome. Moe has the home advantage this year too, so that will also likely be a factor. I think Elder can beat them with bonus points scored by Hardtke, Korb, Fuhr and/or Hyland and the ability to stay off their backs at the lower weights. I believe that both teams are packed with talented kids and if you could make one team from these line-ups, that team would defeat anyone in the state (including Wadsworth, Eds, and SPG). Cincinnati wrestling has come a long way and these two programs lead the growing pack. :D

Hardke nor Fuhr will come close to the major. Frieauf, Sizemore, and Ziegler get bonus points.

It'll be a close one again.

Nati,
Fuhr and Greco wrestled last year, what was the outcome (i honestly cant remember)?
Suer-ology (yeah, it's an exact science :D ) suggests Sandman will not get majored.
I don't think Chalmer would bonus either, I think that match would be closer than some may think.

Danimal,
Z. Kurzhals wrestled 160 (not 215) at coaches, I think you made a mistake. Also, Johnson is a junior.

I presume these rankings are for the five sectionals which constitue the OHSAA SW district. Wrestlers in the two Dayton sectionals may end up in the Central or SW district tournaments when the day is done.

Danimal Dan... At 160 and 171 you have majors counting as 5points. usually they are scored 4 for a major. Unless you meant that Furh and Korb will tech Greco and Powell, then it would certainly be five. Scores adjusted you are left with 24-24, with I believe Moeller winning on second criteria (most pins, after most wins which was a tie as well). Should be a good dual from two good teams again this year. Thanks Gaier and McCoy.
