I could be wrong but doesn't Piqua go to Hilliard Darby for district:shrug:
they do a draw to decide on going to either fairfield or darby just like other dayton schools like miamisburg, springboro, troy, etc.

I saw that match it was no contest there will be kids like Eddie who will not get caught in a head and arm .

Josh Stevens is a pinner, although he may not be the best but he can pin anyone at anytime. 130 seems wide open IMO
Eveybody at state knew "all" Stevens has is a head and arm. Dont you think all 5 kids he beat said "he aint getting me with that"?
Why is Creek even in this discusion? Dont they go to Darby?
BTW Stevens is 125
You know what weight he's going, but you don't know that they get to choose their district... sounds a little fishy to me.
I think you have forgot some serious noise makers. Not much love for the Dayton boys?
112 Brahnam
125 Nick Bloch
130 Denlinger
140 Thoman
152 Bryant (possible state champ)
171 Estes
171 Newburg
189 Connors
189 Carmen

I am aware that Creek chooses thier district. I am also aware that recently they have chosen Darby.
couple of guys you all are looking over at 112 or 119 is Justin Kihn of Kettering and Marcus Windsor from Wayne. Both have a shot to get out
Dan here is my reasoning on the kids I mentioned and some others who belong
112 Marcus Windsor-Wayne(11) 4th @ districts (Carr Trained)
112 Justin Kihn-Fairmont(11) had tough losses at districts including 7-5 loss to Windsor
130 Matt Denlinger-Fairmont(10) 5th @ Districts
160 Tommy Kimbrell-Fairmont(11) 6th@ Districts (Carr Trained)
171 Christian Estes-Lakota West(11) has been sidetracked and if eligible will be an impact wrestler
171 Jonah Newburg-Northmont(11) AA in Fargo
189 Garrett Conner-Fairmont(10) Freshman National Champion (Carr Trained)
The boys Carr have been working with in the off season are going to shock alot of coaches in the area. Windsor,Conner,Kimbrell,Murdoch,Korb,Gresham and Wheeler are just a few that have spent time with him.
Here is the latest rankings based on good input from several people. Certainly not definitive, but a good gauge for most of the top wrestlers to watch as they jockey for position in their final weight classes. Can't wait for Coach's Classic!

A couple of notes that I have heard...
Mendal certified at 112, so 103 is out.
Noble hasn't certified at 103 yet, and it may be because its too much of a cut.
Luria will be a huge 112 and tough to contend with
Brahnam is from Miamisburg. Another huge 112.
Selmon told my boys he's going 125. Not sure if that is true or not.
Nick Bloch is from Lakota West and very tough.
I think Artrip beats Stevens if he is ACTUALLY wrestling, however...
I heard Day was going back to 125
152 is a bear. Bryant is a man.
Knabe in front of Walker, Estes, or Newburg will never happen
Heard Conner may go 215 from his old man. If not he should be in front of both Freshman.

they do a draw to decide on going to either fairfield or darby just like other dayton schools like miamisburg, springboro, troy, etc.
I know Jake Neyer (Fairfield) didn't impress last year but he will definitely be in your top 6 by years end. And I don't think anyone has worked as hard as Vinnie Bradberry has this off-season. He has to be the number 1 seed at 160. Based on what I've heard, you should take Bloch and Sams out of the 125 bracket and replace them with Day and Selmon. You also need to think about Jacob Clouse (Lakota) at 125. Wow! That may be the most competitive bracket. Too bad Stephen Meyer is at Reading.
