I see what you’re saying and I agree. The #2 kid at edge, god if they just had another of him to line up further inside… I understand the necessity to blitz but if they aren’t getting any sh— done up front necessary to create plugs then it’s perilous to sink in since Barnesville can (and did a couple times) hit those voids through the air.

I agree that Dalton, Danville (yessir), NMS, and Mucus would. Perhaps I’m giving too much weight to who returns from the unit that creamed Caldwell and gave NC some trouble last year.

What happened at NC? Where do the coach end up? Possibly the WORST year for them to bump.

There’s a massive chasm between Barnesville, what they do and what they are, and everyone else River has to concern themselves with from this point forward. Flannery’s a damn good coach. I didn’t think you were being disrespectful to River.

Classes of 22 and 23 both did heavy lifting for NC football over the last couple years. There was a known waning period in their enrollment that’d come around for 2-3 years after this senior class graduated. Ryan took the job back after resigning post-2021 — it was always intended to be a one year thing anyways. He lives in Columbus and legitimately has some “life outside of the coach’s office” things that he wanted to put his time, energy and attention toward. Came back for 2022 because the original hire to succeed him got banged and they were in a tough situation.

What I am saying is I get the WR backlash after the last few years. This team is talented enough to beat anyone, but still capable of losing to anyone. I believe they can win a few games on the postseason.

2022 13-2 Final 2 Senior Year
2021 10-3 Final 4 Junior Year
2020 9-3 Final 2 Sophomore Year
They didn't wait until their Senior year to start winning on the State Level

It was just that the Noles won in ‘99, because Bobby himself even admitted on national TV that they fell into the Fiesta Bowl the previous year and probably didn’t deserve to make it in.

First off.....come on bro. Springfield is not beating Dalton. Did you see the boat race South Range put on them?!?! South Range ain't even ALL THAT this year, hell they only beat frigging Lakeview by 7 last week. Put down the drugs Temp....

Throw out SR game. Lakeview is way better this year. Springfield is a team that plays their best at the end of the year. Some teams are like this. Bayuk JFK teams always started slow. Taking care of bodies for extended season.
