It did remind me of Steubenville. I always prefer a stadium with no track. I understand why they build stadiums with tracks but that does take away from the closeness that stadiums like Chardon can give to the fans. Thanks for the compliment on the stadium @Yappi. Fun fact: The stadium was built in ‘99 and was modeled off of Steubenville’s. The project ran out of money. The home stands were supposed to be the visitors, and where you’re sitting was supposed to be home, 3 quarters up between the light polls.
Thank you. This game was WAY closer than the final score indicates. Like @ColdWindBlows stated, if Tallmadge kicked field goals instead of going for it on every 4th down inside the 20, it would have been a 1 score game in the 4th.It did remind me of Steubenville. Chardon played very well. I wish Tallmadge could have played a little better. It felt like Tallmadge was a little shell-shocked to start the game. The dropped kickoffs were demoralizing to get bad field position. Also felt the passing game would have been more effective. A couple overthrows, a few underthrows, and a couple drops really hurt. Seemed like Tallmadge was just a play or two away from making it a game in the 3rd quarter but just couldn't take advantage of the field position. Chardon then poured it on to put the game solidly away.
Good luck the rest of the season. It will be fun watching them play the rest of the way.
