WK 13 Massillon (12-0) vs Lake (9-3)

I mean if some of you guys wanna say Lake stunk it up, fine. The Blue Streaks were down only two scores with barely over four minutes left in the game. Only Valdosta and St. Ed's got closer. Highly recommend you don't take that attitude into the Green game, and most certainly not against Avon or Hoban.

LOS was the 28. DaOne has already thrown the ball. It was a 3 yard pass. 64 is still at the LOS. It was an egregious call btw.

Where did any Massillon fans say that Lake stunk it up? All I have seen is they were impressed with the way Lake played and so was I.

Ohssa oversold the Massillon side. Tiger fans had to stand because no seat on the home side left. The student section filled with fans. Was room on away side but we know how the federal league fans on here feel about us having season tickets on "visitor " side at PBTS!

Indeed. This Tiger was impressed with Lake’s first-half play—didn’t feel good only +15 based on the play of that half. But Massillon adjusted and took control.

Massillon 35
Lake 6

FINAL ... this was much closer than the final score indicates. Lake just disintegrated after the half against a better opponent. Good luck to Massillon and Green next week, could be a good one.
It actually wasn’t. Lake had 138 total yards and 48 of those came on one play. The Tigers had 23 first downs and 421 total yards. The “POY” in the county had 46 yds rushing and 17 yds receiving.

If you think they were ever in that game once it was 7-6 you are completely clueless. They couldn’t run, or pass or stop the run. They were 1-10 on 3rd downs and had the ball for all of 17 min.
The attitude the fans have has nothing to do with the attitude of the team.

I don't think Lake stunk it up at all. They played hard and tough. I just think Massillon was the better team.

First thing: I was never really concerned with Lake scoring after that one long pass. They could not move the ball consistently enough. Maybe you saw things differently.

Second: I have zero concern of Massillon taking Green lightly. Not after what happened last time they played.

Third: If you weren't aware, both Avon and Hoban struggled some tonight. Every team needs to take every team they play from here on, seriously.

Exactly ! This is the downfall of 16 teams in the playoffs. The top seeds have played nobodies the first 2 weeks and then week 3 it’s a definite step up in talent and will be even more next week.

They could until the one QB was taken out late Q2 with an equpiment malfunction and started imploding. And after the half, Massillon simply had them figured out. That's all I meant. No disrespect was intended.

There was no implosion. Lake was simply unable to withstand and hold up. Not because of effort or desire. It was simply a game of attrition. One where Massillon although had receivers wide open in the secondary all night long, the running game was dominating. 3 to 5 yard runs had become 8-12 yard runs every play. Nothing fancy, run right up the middle for 8 - 12 yards play after play.

That is the nature of GA seating. You can never squeeze as many into GA as you can reserved.

Ok first off I came in from Kansas City for the Buckeyes game and I have ties to both of these schools for different reasons so it was a win win for me either way. With that said the TD Massillon scored at the end of the half was OB I was right in front of it, next at any level is it not a penalty when you pick a player up and throw him to the ground? There multiple times Lake players were on the ground after the play and no flags. Massillon would’ve won either way more than likely but they were not good in the first half and it was pretty evident in the 2nd half that the officiating leaned to one side so Lake quit. All that said with all of the games I’ve played and watched over the years this was the worst I’ve seen. No wonder the OHSAA is in bad shape. An embarrassment to say the least. That Lake program is always a class act and it’s a shame they had to lose that way. Ohio kids deserve better officiating than that.
Hard to argue either way. Looks pretty close and without replay it’s a judgement call.
