Who should get MVP

With all three quarterbacks having an exceptional year, who should win MVP?

Rodgers is consistently great each week. Coupled with his much fewer INTs than Brees and the couple stinkers Brees had made my choice. But Peyton Manning should indeed get at least a vote.

can we please stop with the Peyton Manning for MVP talk??? he didn't play a snap. he gets ZERO consideration.

How much of Rodgers' success is due to his system though? Hard to say. Of course Brees might benefit from his "system" just as much as Rodgers does, so I really don't know.

I think ultimately my vote would go to Peyton Manning. Wins 10+ games for like 7 straight years, then his team completely falls apart without him.

Every QB benefits from his "system". If they didn't they wouldn't be part of this discussion.

Yeah but the question is how much. I doubt you could plug Matt Flynn into Indy's system and not see a dropoff, even if only for 1 game. However plug Matt Flynn into Green Bay's system for 1 game and he sets the team record for TDs in a game.

Exactly...remember Scott Mitchell? He played very well stepping in for an injured Dan Marino, but flamed out in another system not like the one he was used to in Miami. Just like other positions in football some many QBs don't play as well in systems that they are not used to. If it was as simple as plugging a skilled guy into any system there wouldn't be guys like Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf, or others who have not panned out.

But the discussion is not about whether Matt Flynn should be the MVP. It's about Rodgers, Brees, Brady, and Peyton Manning. If anyone can step in and put up numbers like Rodgers did, then how is he the MVP if Matt Flynn can do the same thing? Meanwhile once Manning went out, the Colts went to sh1t. That proves that he is more valuable to his team than Rodgers is.

What it proves is Green Bay constructed their team much better than Indy did. I'm not saying Manning isn't dog gone good, but he didn't PLAY in 2011 so he therefore is not the Most Valuable Player for 2011. Now if you want to talk about the Most Valuable Inactive Player then he wins in a landslide. The 2011 NFL MVIA award goes to Peyton Manning.

MVIA?

Brees. Not because of Flynn, but because of the number of single-season records he broke, the team's success, and his leadership. Rodgers a very-very close second.

Rodgers. He didn't have the ground game Brees had. Sproles was a huge addition to go along with Ingram, Thomas and Ivory.

I like Rodgers WRs better though. It's definitely a tough call between the 2. I remember through about 10 games analsysts saying they thought Rodgers was having the best season by a QB EVER, and it's not like his production dropped off after that. I think some people are leaning Brees now because he broke Marino's record on MNF in week 16.

How about Brady who is the sole reason his team has the number one seed in the AFC.

Brady also broke Marino's record. He has had to continuously put up huge numbers or the team loses. Has no running game. Has turned small time players nobody knew about into Pro-Bowlers. He is working with his 3rd string center. Back up left guard, back up right tackle and he has no true deep threat.

Brees. Take Rodgers or Brady off their team and both are at least in the wildcard picture. Take him off the Saints and I doubt they make the playoffs.

In all seriousness, Peyton proved this season why he should have been the MVP every season the Colts were ever a contender when he was on the team.
