What are you watching?

Well, I hated the way season 2 ended. I also hated the constant music by the female singer in the bar throughout the entire season.
S1 is one of the best individual seasons in tv history. S2 was a steep drop off, but S3 rebounded pretty well, S4 was decent (mostly bc of Jodie Foster) but had an all time s**tty ending.

Dexter Original Sin. So far two episodes in and I like it. Not as good as the original show but good in a different way. My biggest problem is that it doesn't show Dexter being trained from the ground up, it starts off and he's already trained on what to do and just hasn't used his skills yet.

Only 1 episode in on season 3 but yeah, you can tell they tried getting back to season 1 with the story telling, cinematography, etc.

I'm up to date, which I believe is episode 8, it's really good. As you said, not as good as the original at its peak, but it feels like its own show without relying too heavily on the original.

My wife and in laws love it. They’re all originally from Texas so maybe that’s got something to do with it but man I just don’t like it.
I mean it has some nice scenic views but outside of that it’s boring and I don’t like it. I literally said it gave me “Yellowstone” vibes and that’s a show I never got into either and stopped watching after 2 episodes. My wife turned to me and said it was made by the same guy which makes sense.

I just don’t do drama shows. They are boring to me. Hard to imagine Billy Bob Thornton as any kind of enforcer and he’s a total cuck to his ex wife which makes him not tough mentally much less physically.

I watched Squid Game Season 2 on Netflix a few weeks ago. Big letdown compared to Season 1, mainly because of how it ended, plus not really adding anything at all to the plot. I'll watch Season 3 because of the lackluster ending of Season 2.

Then I heard about Alice in Borderland on Netflix, so I watched Seasons 1 & 2 the week after. Loved it! I'm really looking forward to Season 3. It was a little confusing to get started, and some things still don't quite make sense, but who cares. I liked it. MUCH better than Squid Game Season 2.

Then I watched Squid Game: The Challenge on Netflix. It's a real-life reality TV show based off Squid Game (just without all the death, haha). I liked it. A little predictable, and they made the season drag out a lot longer than it needed to with all the personal sob stores, but it was still a fun show, and very cutthroat.

Now I'm watching Beast Games on Prime Video. It's another reality TV show, but I like it a lot more than Squid Game: The Challenge so far. It's entertaining, and the cutthroat-ness is on another level. Haha! I'm only about halfway through the season - wife is actually watching this one with me when she wouldn't touch the other 3.
