Ignatius JV wins 15-6X blows the game late with a series of mistakes:
Ignatius - 15
X - 6
There were only 2 jersey numbers that I couldn't account forI watched the game to
1. See if any juniors were playing JV
Only 2 players that could help on varsity this year but they are already known.....Aden Reeder and Spencer StegbauerI watched the game to
2. See if any sophomores on JV could play varsity in the post season
It was not a penalty on X that gave Ignatius a 2nd chance at a FG - the X coaches called a timeout to 'freeze' the kicker. They should have just let the play go forward as the Ignatius kicker is a back-up and missed the XP badlyIgnatius JV wins 15-6
Iggy 10 yard TD in 3rd quarter, XP no good Tie 6-6
Iggy with seconds left in the game kicks a 25 yard FG to go up 9-6
This after X had blocked an attempt but penalty gave the Wildcats another FG chance
On kickoff with no time remaining X tries the multiple backwards laterals and fumbles it into the end zone and Iggy recovers for TD on final play of the game.
Oh well onto the Varsity game at 3pm
32 is sean dealey. He plays receiver and goes to D on certain packages. There were only 2 jersey numbers that I couldn't account for
#79 at right tackle.....the biggest lineman, probably @6'3" 250lb
#32 in the defensive secondary
Neither jersey number is listed on the JV roster.
Hadn't made a kick all dayIt was not a penalty on X that gave Ignatius a 2nd chance at a FG - the X coaches called a timeout to 'freeze' the kicker. They should have just let the play go forward as the Ignatius kicker is a back-up and missed the XP badly
I'm assuming that JV player #11 at free safety is Reeder.Only 2 players that could help on varsity this year but they are already known.....Aden Reeder and Spencer Stegbauer
Yeah 11 is Reeder. He's not going to play db on varsity.I'm assuming that JV player #11 at free safety is Reeder.
He is listed as #15 on both the varsity and JV rosters but on the field #11 looks like him.
He made several plays, including a couple sacks off of safety blitzes.
Does anyone know if #11 is Reeder or the player listed on the JV roster?
ok, he's #33 on the JV roster.32 is sean dealey. He plays receiver and goes to D on certain packages.
There are 2 #28's on the roster listed as DB's...Carr and HabeebYeah 11 is Reeder. He's not going to play db on varsity.
I'll look into that oneok, he's #33 on the JV roster.
So everyone who played in the JV game today was a sophomore.
I still can't account for big #79 at right tackle
Tucker Kattus is a junior who wears #79?? lol...300lber on JV
Or could it be sophomore Jake Naylor?
Or a freshman playing up?
Not sure I've never seen 28 all year, so not sure who it wasThere are 2 #28's on the roster listed as DB's...Carr and Habeeb
Which one was playing CB today?
I think the weather and situation calls for X to just go smash mouth with #3 and #44Don't worry. I think the incompetence of the Ignatius play calling will catch up. Although, Cody Haddad in his first game of the season has been very good. X needs to stick with one qb.
ThisWord in Bomberville is that Haddad will be back for the game this Saturday.
