Hillsdale is an up and coming team. I do not think they are ready to beat Norwayne though. Bobcats by 15+ is my prediction.Norwayne vs hillsdale will be a fun game to watch
No idea on the suspension... but I thought the team responded well against Chippewa.Dalton falls behind 20-0 at Dover and loses 58-39. Considering Dalton’s slow start, this score could have almost been expected. The bigger story is that coach Justin Greenfelder did not coach the game due to a suspension.
Any Dalton posters know what is going on with Coach Greenfelder? Dalton had the talent and leadership to overcome this type of drama the last few years. This seems like a tough obstacle to overcome for this year’s group.
I think Chippewa might be the bottom of the league this year thoNo idea on the suspension... but I thought the team responded well against Chippewa.
Agree. We just needed to get a win and probably played our best game.I think Chippewa might be the bottom of the league this year tho
Give it a few more games I think you will find your grooveAgree. We just needed to get a win and probably played our best game.
Book it. Dalton is not there yet...and even when they do get into rhythm, they still don't have enough for Norwayne rn....Still early, but after the Northwestern upset of Smithville last night, is it Norwayne and then the rest of the league? If Norwayne goes to Dalton and wins on Friday, it's going to be tough for anyone to catch them.

I agree. I have Norwayne in a rout on Friday. Dalton could have competed with them if everything was going well for Dalton. Key injuries, drama with the suspended/fired (does anybody even know?) coach is way too much to overcome for this team. It is easy for everyone to compare this year's team to the last few years and just dismiss them as not being very good. Anyone who is familiar with the Dalton program from grades 7-12 knows this year was probably their best chance to win anything for quite awhile. They are at or near the bottom of the league in 7th, 8th, and JV. Freshmen have not won much (if at all) either, but many WCAL teams probably do not even have freshmen teams. The drop off after the glory years should not be this sudden. Maybe they can pull off a stunner on Friday and change the narrative.Book it. Not a lot when it comes to specific players and such. I heard they are deep and talented in football………not quite as good at basketball. Accurate? They will need to be really good if the classes around them are not very good. How much do you know about the freshman class?
They have 5 or 6 boys that can be really good if they are developed correctly. They also need too grow a little bit. They won over 20 games in Jr. high, so they know how to win its just getting a little bit better and stronger. Not a lot when it comes to specific players and such. You don’t need height to win games .. be fast play press .They have 5 or 6 boys that can be really good if they are developed correctly. They also need too grow a little bit. They won over 20 games in Jr. high, so they know how to win its just getting a little bit better and stronger.
That's fine for winning games in WCAL - but you will need that height when you start venturing out. Norwayne stuck in D2 this year because of CB - they're going to find out in districts, if not before, that their lack of size is going to be a problem....You don’t need height to win games .. be fast play press .
Agreed. Norwayne racked up three district titles in a row playing in the Wooster district. Having the super districts are a game changer. Going D2 is an even bigger change. It will be tough for Norwayne to reach a district title game this year. The teams up north have very little fear when it comes to facing Wayne County teams in the tournament. I can remember Dalton winning league titles and bowing out in the sectionals more than once when they were in the Garfield Heights district several years ago. That's fine for winning games in WCAL - but you will need that height when you start venturing out. I agree completely !!..but that’s what I was talking about was competing In the WCAL wasn’t talking as far as tournaments your completley right about that .That's fine for winning games in WCAL - but you will need that height when you start venturing out. Game went how I thought it would tbh . I knew coming into dalton dalton would play them the hardest they could and knew it would be close early on but depth would start to talk over in the second half ..Interesting and entertaining game last night in Dalton vs Norwayne. Was much closer than the score at the end indicated. Stellar defense played by both sides, not great shooting. Tomlinson guarding metsker was a fun matchup. Great seeing Hignight get some minutes last night - he is really going to help as he gets back in the groove.

New Dalton coach Huth and staff did a great job of preparing for the Norwayne press. Dalton shot layups and wide open shots pretty much the entire first quarter when Norwayne was pressing. Norwayne adjusted after the first quarter and quit pressing until very late in the game. Dalton only scored 2 points the first 6+ minutes of the second quarter and struggled bad with turnovers throughout the game. Dalton never got good shots off consistently after Norwayne went to their half court defense. Sammy Tomlinson was arguably the best player on the floor. Not much of a scorer, but his hustle and ball handling were really good. Watching him and Metsker go at it was fun. Two hard nosed, scrappy players.Game went how I thought it would tbh . Norwayne will be sizable favorites in the rest of their WCAL games this year. When is the last time they have won a WCAL title by themselves in basketball?Does Norwayne go undefeated in the WCAL? They’ve won at both Dalton and Smithville. When was the last time a team went undefeated in WCAL play? Just looking at the WCAL page, it was prior to 2012-13.
