It's Smithville's fault. They played great against the Bobcats so "coach stinks" / "WingT" folks didn't have much to say. Besides that, what a FANTASTIC week of weather in Ohio. ; )Wow, looks we have gone silent in the last week.
I'll break the silence. Having watched both teams play Dalton, Friday's game between Hillsdale and Norwayne should be a good one. In my opinion Norwayne is the more physical team, but without Moyer I think the game's a toss up. Norwayne's linebackers and secondary are athletic and have good size which could limit Hillsdale's big plays and passing game. For Hillsdale, it will come down to how well they control the line of scrimmage and run the ball. Even without Moyer, Norwayne's has the play makers to put points on the board. Again, this one could go either way.Wow, looks we have gone silent in the last week.
An absolute FANTASTIC week 10 game. WCAL hit schedule-makers lottery on this one. Dr Drew has Norwayne -10 but he also had Norwayne -32 vs Smithville. Last week was first week without Moyer so Norwayne's likely to be more comfortable, but at Hillsdale is also a much stiffer test than Smithies at home.I'll break the silence. Until I see Hillsdale shake the Norwayne demons - I can't pick'em. Couple years ago Hillsdale beat Dalton at Hillsdale, prior to that game they had given up a 70-burger to Norwayne. Last 10 years look like this....I actually think this game will be a bit of a letdown - I expect Hillsdale by a couple scores. Without Moyer, I just didn’t see much real firepower from Norwayne
I share a similar sentiment. Hillsdale has a very good team, but I find it difficult to pick them here, even with Norwayne's injuries.Until I see Hillsdale shake the Norwayne demons - I can't pick'em.
Losing a RB hurts, but Norway's biggest injury came when King Hardada was killed trying to invade England ; )I share a similar sentiment. Hillsdale has a very good team, but I find it difficult to pick them here, even with Norway's injuries.

Norway shot themselves in the foot. Too many personal fouls and unnecessary roughness calls.Losing a RB hurts, but Norway's biggest injury came when King Hardada was killed trying to invade England ; )
Based on the original prognosis and the lung issue - what doctor in their right mind would risk allowing this kid to play?! If he's 100% and in no danger of serious injury, that is great for the kid! Rooting for him! But that was a pretty serious injury by all accounts and a HS football game albeit for a league title just isn't that important....I really hope intelligence steps forward here and this kid only plays if he is indeed completely 100% out of the woods with that injury!Norwaynes Moyer is getting evaluated tomorrow morning At the doctors to see if he’s able to play tomorrow . Prayers for good news for him .
ABSOLUTELY!!!! And even if you're a "football above all else" person, losing this game still puts you at home in week 11 against a team ranked in the 400s. Releasing him to play would have to be the ultimate no brainer of no brainers. Even the tiniest sliver of doubt would have to make that a hard no.Based on the original prognosis and the lung issue - what doctor in their right mind would risk allowing this kid to play?! Congrats on best season in 10 years. If only losses meant something! Smithville would be back to the cream of the crop!
It’s like posting Windham results then flexing They did finish 9-1 and did get a win over a team with a winning record though
Not an expert at anything but donuts & naps, but aware enough to see that you went quiet after last week’s tough loss to the League champ but were quick to jump in after they slept walked tonight.I’ll let one of the other Smithville fans sugar coat the recap for you.. Or better yet, just ask Raylan! He seems to be the expert on all things Smithville football
I will say this though, Smithville did a FANTASTIC job keeping a very poor (sorry Ed), extremely small Chippewa team in the game till the very end! We couldn’t quite get to the offensive output of Northwestern but we did better then Coventry, so that’s something
I was here.. posted to. No one replied.. I wasn’t going to talk to myself Plus I had work to do after the Guardians let down. Not an expert at anything but donuts & naps, but aware enough to see that you went quiet after last week’s tough loss to the League champ but were quick to jump in after they slept walked tonight.
7-3 might not meet your standards, but it’s the 3rd best record of any school in Wayne Co this year.. I’d appreciate it, everything is cyclic these days.
