We get St. V back to back..Aurora week 2 and Barberton week 3AURORA’s non league is Euclid, St. V. And Twinsburg. Greenmen will be tough.
Yes, really need Macon to step us as that 1,000+ yrd running back this season. With Lee throwing ball 56 times a game, Aurora wins Suburban. If Lee throws less then 20, look out for Magics.
I think Medina Highland, Kent and Tallmadge might all also be good. Cuyahoga Falls and Revere may have a tough season in the Suburban. I’m not positive but Copley may have lost a lot of Seniors from last year. After going to the State Semi Finals in 2019, Aurora was average last season and really struggled at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If they can fix that issue the Greenmen will be tough to beat and could make another playoff run. My son is on the team and I know the expectations are high. Aurora starts with Euclid and St. V. It won’t be easy but should be a fun season with full capacity allowed in the stands. So let's talk about Aurora vs Barberton because we all know that is what this season will come down to. Last year would feel like a throw out because of Covid and the teams not knowing if they would even have a practice, let alone a season. With both teams having a low senior class turnout last season, both teams will be returning a lot of experience. Both side's fan bases will talk about how great this returning starter is and so on, so we can throw that out of the conversation. Let's look at last year's schedules vs win/loss record...
Auror's 3 losses all came from teams with a winning record, Brecksville, Coply, and New Philly. All of Auror's wins came from sub .500 teams. Barberton also falls into this quadrant of only beating sub .500 teams, but Barbertons overall schedule was tougher. With both teams rejoining regular league play, I would give Barberton the edge in the head-to-head game, and in the league championship...
But Coply might have something to say about that!
I agree Highland will be good but this is ridiculousHighland will run the league this fall and it probably won't be that close.
Well best of luck to them, but we have heard this before!Highland will run the league this fall and it probably won't be that close.
I guess we are gonna find outNot so much, I've seen this junior and senior class since they were little kids and if they stay healthy they are going to be hard for anyone in the Suburban League to handle. I think they are 2 touchdown favorites against both Barberton and Aurora. I'm not even a Highland supporter but I can tell you without a doubt that they will be very good this fall.
Heard new offensive coordinator Gordon White is make you guys a wing tee offense. Says fits the skill set. He was articulating this Friday at Hunky Club.Any word from Revere. Offense? Defense? Returners. They were solid last year.
