Every american should be mad that we are encouraging people not to work.
It' all part of the Great Reset. The labor crisis caused by BIG government paying people to sit on their arse at home is turning into our greatest threat.
Every company is looking to hire people, but government continues to purchase laziness instead.
Sickening; it has to end!
Before COVID, the company I work for had about 5-10 employees more than what we needed. It's a small, family owned company that needs about 50 employees. Starting pay is modest around $15 an hour, put overtime is always available, sometimes up to 20+ hours a week giving employees an opportunity to make a decent living. We never shutdown as we were deemed essential, but we did slow down so we laid off all of the temporary employees but were able to keep all other employees through the early stages of the "pandemic". We are now back to full operations and have been between 10-15 employees short and NO ONE is coming in looking for work. Temp services have NO ONE to send us, a few we use have shutdown because of lack of employees to send out. I have several friends and acquaintances that work in heavy industry that tell a similar story. Bottom line, people are not even looking for work. They are simply relying on stimulus checks and unemployment benefits until someone has the balls to stop dumping free money in their laps and force them to get back to work. If you're getting up and going to work everyday and you're not angry about this you should be.The labor crisis caused by BIG government paying people to sit on their arse at home is turning into our greatest threat.

Fix back betterHeard a brief on radio news yesterday that now that restaurants are opening up they can't find people to work because they are collecting unemployment. It's a sad state of affairs what the Progressives, with the support of the Democrat Party, have done to this country.
Would I get the UBI on top of my pension? If it was enough I would quit my part-time job.My area has had UBI for 50 years. It’s great ?
Encouraging people to work is racist.Every american should be mad that we are encouraging people not to work.
We have employees who are literally doing everything in their power to be fired so they can sit home and get unemployment.

How? Just curious? Most fired workers don't qualify.
Would also be curious how their unemployment check compares to 40 hours pay? Am guessing your company's wages are pretty low. Low wage workforces have high turnover. That's just part of the deal.

Almost all companies don’t challenge unemployment for those they fire.
Showing up 3 days a week... We pay $18.00 an hour plus all health insurance. matching 401K and uniforms. And we are off at 2:30 every Friday. And if you want to ...you can smoke 8 pacs of cigs a day. How? Just curious? Most fired workers don't qualify.

My unemployed 23 year old daughter just bought a two year old car using her unemployment and "COVID relief money" as a substantial down payment. In the past year she has gotten more from the federal government than she has ever earned as a waitress. The good news is that she is going back to school full time in the fall. In the meantime she is riding the Biden gravy train and making bank.
No. She volunteered to be laid off and has no incentive what so ever to find work. She may find a part time job in the fall when she starts back to school, but that will only be the case if the federal spigot is turned off. That's what you want though. A stimulus only stimulates the economy if you spend it right away. Not on stock buybacks or stuffed in the war chest.
Esp. if the person became involuntarily unemployed. Assuming that was the case for your daughter.
