Ryan Day

But he won’t. OSU will never win the big game with him. I hope you all enjoy 3 losses to Michigan as all of you continue to defend him.

1-3 against Michigan. 2-6 in top 5 games. Enjoy it everyone, everyone seems happy with this.
You are right. Not a winner.

Getting lots of replies for a high school forum...isn't it!
The state championship games next week are, just like most years recently,

Evil Empire D1 Private vs the Most Noxious D1 Public;

Evil Empire D2 Private vs the Most Player-Hated Public in the State;

Prohibitive D3 Favorite vs Watterson;

Alter vs the Second Most Player-Hated Public in the State;

One Lone Game Not Featuring Usual Contenders;

Usual Contender vs Usual Contender;

Prohibitive D7 Favorite vs Dalton;

of course this thread is going to get some activity. It’s a break from the inevitable banality of next week!

I have a hard time believing Ryan Day could get fired for losing this game too much without the eventual replacement being an "Ohio/Ohio State" guy.

Fickell, Vrabel, or Hartline (after getting some G5 HC experience). If he ends up getting fired, the replacement philosophy will be the same as when Cooper got fired.

Yes, no way he’s getting fired. Only thing we can hope for is that A&M pays him a lot of money to leave after he realizes he isn’t good enough to be OSUs coach. Fickell and Vrabel both suck and would make things worse here. Need someone better than what they would provide

Clever putting this thread in the HS forum. Definitely got more hits because of it. It felt like to me that the Michigan injury gave them the momentum they needed to finish the game with a W. Disappointing for Ryan Day and OSU fans. I don't think they will fire him this year. Another year or 2 then maybe. With the college playoff expanding next year this game won't have the same magnitude.

Next year will be different though. He will get a chance at redemption if he loses to Michigan with a 12 team play off.
