Bellefontaine will be the away team but its fans and team will be on home sideline because of the significant number of fans they will bring compared to Watterson. There were easily 2-3 thousand fans at Bellefontaines game on Friday vs Granville. That number will grow Friday

I can see Watterson’s beef with the seating situation. I’d be upset if my squad was the higher seed and got bumped. However, being at their last game, Bellefontaine brought it! Haven’t seen much on the Eagles but I’ve seen Bellefontaine and whoever they play on any given night will have their hands full. Will be a memorable game no doubt!

Anytime you have the best qb in Ohio on your team you have a chance
Gotta have some cats to pitch and catch with and Neer and Wilson are top shelf. Throw in a bit of a running Fogan and you got a complete offense. Now if the Chef offense and defensive lines can continue with what they are doing, this will be a dog fight. Most expect BW to win but the Chef's have nothing to lose and that makes them dangerous.

Weather looks crappy for Friday
30s with rain
I guess it's not looking good for the 4-Star Bellefontaine QB...you know, the kid that did not impress you. Maybe he should decommit from this shizzy OH weather and go to LSU where the weather is sunny and 90.

It's OHIO in late November dumbarse..... Yeah, its crappy. Any other insight?

I heard when Massie visited Steubenville several years ago the middle section of the visitor stands were reserved for the Steubenville "reserved/donor" fans. Talk about home field advantage.
Pre or post rape-gate?

Good thing about playing on turf is the field conditions obviously. Unless it rains during the gamen it'll be fine.

I imagine wind won't hinder either QB as they both have strong arms.

I hate nothing more than dissing a kid that is playing the game than those that no longer or never played the game.

Weather App saying the rain will be done by 4-5 o'clock. Hopefully out of here by game time. I don't want to see who can play the best in rain. Might have to stay home if raining hard. Seeing the low temps, could it be snow?!

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who sits where or who is the home team or away. All that matters is who is playing on the field and who has zero mistakes. Not looking forward to watching this game on spectrum this Friday, wish it was on NF instead

This is the worst weather dynamic, IMO, of November. I can take guaranteed snow all day, I can take guaranteed rain; but I can’t take squall conditions that hit after the game.

Pure BS.

Thavoice's key to this matchup is tuBW QB. Known him for a few years and he is a very competitive kid. Sometimes when you come into game like this when your counterpart gets all the publicity and accolades you either come out with a chip on your shoulder and play the game of your life, or try too hard to make plays and force a few things that end up as uncharacteristic mistakes.

No on gave Bell a chance against London (although I did pick them in a coin flip game and was chastised) and most felt all season that this region was BW or London's to lose. To be the best you must beat the best. I have witnessed some huge upsets in the playoffs and nothing is impossible.

Weather might make both QB's less of a factor and linemen much more of one.

It sounds like the Watterson faithful has taken this request by BF to obtain the home side… personal… and I would too. Does set a bad precedent in many ways, But I do understand that at the end of the day… money talks for the Marion Harding administration. BWHS will be ready to go. Eagles BIG

The state has the right to do what they want and I would imagine Bell would be bringing a much larger contingent .

When this happens, I like to tell a little story. Gather round younglings, its thavoice story time!

2007: State gave the visiting team the home bleachers in Northmont for the State Semi's because of the following (when people actually still went to their games) and the opposing squad took it personal as they were undefeated and a 2 seed vs a 1 loss 5 seed. I believe they even came out in their visiting whites during pregame as a 'protest' and the boards were all ablaze about the other team whining to the state blah blah blah about the seating and changed into the home darks at the last break before the game.

They 'took it personal' and it lead to a quick 28-0 hole in the first half and ultimately a 56-14 loss.

That has nothing to do with this situation obviously but whenever this happens around the state (and it does from time to time) I love to tell that story!

Before you proceed with your Malarkey Thavoice. Read the OHSAA Bylaws regarding Home/Visitor status
Through the Regional Finals. The Higher Seed is the Home Team Period. They get The Home Side
and The Home Locker Room. When they get to
the State Semi Finals The OHSAA Reserves the right to ReBracket and determine Home/Visitor
Status. Enjoy the Visitors Side @ Harding Stadium they have plenty of Capacity for the Mighty
Bellefontaine Crowd. I think the only issue will be RestRooms and Concessions. Your going to
have to Walk to the #1 Seeds Side to get your Popcorn and use the John.
Safe Travels and enjoy the game.

Intriguing Thevoice story time. But again, the “they took it personal” was referring to the Watterson faithful and community; not the players.

A program such as Bishop Watterson does a great job handling outside noise- this specific topic merits no additional attention or communication from a players/coaches perspective. They focus on what they can control.

The core issue is the @OHSAA not incentivizing a school with a larger capacity to host a game of this magnitude versus them pocketing whatever percentage of profit they can. This should never be an issue. Period.

Won't see me there, and if i was i would sit wherever i wish because i do what i want, but thanks for the concern. .i was just sharing a real life situation where the Home team was relegated to the Visitor stands.

Thanks for your input. In real Life OHSAA Football. That doesn’t happen until the State Semi’s. If you did Go.
I’m pretty sure you would be on the Visitor Side. I would make sure and send over some Popcorn.

Sorry to bust your bubble but I'm not a Bellefontaine fan. Quite laughable actually.

Send it to my newfound truce friend wingtfan as I'm certain he is reading this laughing at you.

Lol Thavoice getting people all fired up.
Side note he isn’t a Bellefontaine fan.

Neither school asked or want to be in this situation. The blame is 100 percent on OHSAA on being greedy and now nobody wants to host because it’s not worth it money wise.

Let's start a grassroots effort to get it changed.

2024.
Week 13.
All schools band together and refuse to host games unless the reimbursement is improved.

A game like this should have places begging to host.

Check Bishop Watterson athletics on Twitter. They announced today that their fans will be on the visitor sideline. Bellefontaine athletics tweeted it as well. This was obviously ruled by the OHSAA and not either school.

Gee...thavoice was right.....again. I've seen this more than once before. One time...it caused a stink per the story I told, rhe other time the opponents took it like a champ.

I guess that popcorn you send on over to the Visitors Side will be going right back to you.
