Meadows (D3) may just be a MH Finalist, and a top 4 at State, so rank him where ever, he placed at Ironman in a very tough weight. Not bad after making a jump from 160 last season.
Exactly!!!

I agree I was just saying that maybe the rankings were fine before and that everyone shouldn't count out Walz after an opening weekend loss after he beat Meadows and placed higher...
No but don't say Walz is too high because he lost first week of the season,
Edsfan1- You must be frustrated with that Ed's performance this past week.
edsfan1- good one...
Chanel has no one ranked nationally, what would be the point of going? Only legit shots at placing are Assad and Walters and those aren't for sures. I know Assad and Walters have beaten a few kids that placed yesterday but the rest of the team minus a few who might win a match or two wouldn't benefit at all except sitting in the gym saturday and eating food.

Yeah you're right, it was Assad's and Walters' choice not to go to Ironman. How would the rest of the team benefit by not wrestling this weekend, they wrestled Mayfield and Kenston, for any other weekend those are good duals.

If they send the rest of the team to Kenston than those teams there don't benefit because chanel only has 13 in their lineup and they would send Assad, Orrill, Kiefer, Walters, Porter, Schafer and Smith. That's more than half their team and they have another out so they would of sent a dual team of 5. Kenston wouldn't of been too happy.
The occassional beating up on Borofan is expected and humorous but piling on is a bit much!

Oh come on.You started with the Assad and Walters being the only guys worthy as the reason for not going. Now that it is pointed out that most teams do not send a whole team you say that they would have sent 7 guys and Kenston would not be happy.Well since the schedule is set much before last month and the team knows when the Ironman is and how they can get included.I can only conclude that they do not want to face top flight competition.Tell me what were the scores of the matches for Assad and Walters this week? Looking at Kenston's results Assad did not wrestle and it did not matter as Kenston's 103 was not a placer at Solon the prior week and Walters pinned in 3:38.Looking at Mayfields team results from the prior week they did not have a 103 wrestling and their 160 was pinned twice in the 1st period so no test at all.So this week was a waste for your two best guys
Mat time is never a waste! Maybe these two could have got better competition, but the team was not at Ironman. So what? Neither were thousands of other teams with great wrestlers! I think this is going to far now. There have been many successful wreslters that have never been to Ironman!

Not to hard to pull an upset when you have a weight advantage is it???????
Thats why they have weigh outs to stop overcutting those who do not make them OBVIOUSLY have an advantage ,those are the breaks:Ohno:nothing against Bright he is a great wrestler but it is what it is.
From what I have heard, republic is essentially right -- Chanel was give the option to enter the Ironman as a partial last year and/or this year, but declined b/c they wanted to be able to enter the whole team.
None the less, we should steer back to regularly scheduled programming -- the rankings, and not letting the behavior/thoughts of one poster sidetrack us.
D2 103lbs #4 freshman Tutolo knocked of #1 Rix at Ironman on his way to placing 6th:clap:
He also wrestled Tomasello real close. Tomasello was in complete control but Tutolo kept it close and has a very bright future.
Tutolo's a stud for sure.
Would have been the jr high state champ last yr had he not been injured or ill or whatever it was.
